Tough game, VP is a lucky ground for them plus they are playing really well,

 

I don't think it's that lucky.

They've beaten us once in their last six visits -

 

Perplexed. Pretty much a friendly match now with nothing to play for.

 

They have a lot still to play for.
4 points off 7th with 2 games in hand.

 

It’s a match to continue building momentum and for players to continue impressing the manager. There’s a lot to play for and I for one am looking forward to the game

 

Haven’t we always done well against Vale? Seem to remember that lean spell under Parky where I think we’d only won 1 game in 22 and then we beat them with an injury time header by Carl McHugh? think Parky was close to the sack at that time

 

No easy rides at VP anymore

 

Only danger with City is they build our hopes up and sadly let us down.

last two performances was like watching a different team. We actually look threatening on the ball, few poor passes in the final third. But, overall now enjoyable to watch.

If we can finish the season on a high keep some of our better players and have some foundation to build on for next season who knows what we can achieve.

 

Remember it like it was yesterday. Andrew Davies had his usual 3 month injury layoff which coincided with our slump in forum which lead to us not winning in 3 months, till that McHugh header

 

Trevor, did you check any of the content of your post before posting it?

 

With Walker returning to the squad and hopefully Vernam too, I'm looking forward to seeing a confident side full of attacking intent and trickery. The whole squad look confident on the ball at the moment and are putting in 6s, 7s & 8s rather than the 3s, 4s & 5s under Adams. If we can maintain this trajectory of performances into next season, Valley Parade will be rocking again.

 

Lets say we see Vernham back and he’s a starter ( I doubt, rather a sub)

Cook up top , Pereira and Vernham making up the wide players of the three, doesn’t that potentially weaken the middle though? I can’t see Vernham getting about like Walker and Evans?

Impact 2nd half substitute is my guess of Vernham’s matchday role?

 

I wonder if that includes port vale tickets? Whilst it's great that there is a buzz about the place again, I'd be shocked if we gained 1500 walk ups, on the back of this week

 

I would say poor passes in the final third could also be construed as trying to make something happen. No point in having skilled players who can pass and not allowing them to take a risk.
