What an absolute dire post

Get a clue on football. This squad has contributed nothing for over a year now and was put together by around 4 or 5 different people.

Grayson came in, we got worse. Collins came in, we were a shambles. Hopkin came in we got tonked week after week aside from December.

Bowyer came in and is expected to work miracles? Today wasn’t great but it’s not just about today. We have been awful for months and months.

Let’s slate another manager after all its only our 6th now in 18 months?

 

How can anyone blame bowyer? 3 managers this season with one common denominator, the players.

We’re just not good enough and haven’t been since the first game of the season.

 

Payne has been dog shit since he signed again in January.

 

I know what your saying@Bronco but I'm in my mid 60s now and really hoped to see championship football at Valley parade before I leave this planet. I just think that's a pipe dream now, I fear another financial crisis is round the corner and I just can't face another 5/6 years of league two mediocrity. Playing Crawley, Stevenage and Solihull Moors is bad enough but we will be getting turned over by them. I'm just really down tonight and unlike the Pulse I'm not blaming the ref for today's result,that's just papering over the cracks of another woeful performance by a set of players I just despise.

I’m absolutely with you that Bowyer cannot be judged on today, but I’m struggling to support his chosen line up today.

 

I don’t agree with his selection today but calling out a manager after 3 games is ridiculous.

These players have been a disgrace all season.

 

My sentiments exactly, I'd have been delighted to be a Championship side before I clocked out but these two clowns have put our club back 4/5 years unless Stefan Rupp is prepared to fund a possible promotion push next season if we are in the 4th division.
Years ago when we started watching the game, the formula for success was having a good manager and players who cared and the majority of the team were local lads, in our day it was not unusual to have players at clubs all their footballing lives, success now a days is very much based on club finance, a good manager helps without a doubt but in the modern game those who have a sugar daddy usually have a better chance over a season.

 

What is it with these frigging dimwitted idiots in charge of our team?

Hopkin stumbles upon a formation that worked. We were successful in January and then he changed it up again and we never looked the same.

Bowyer comes in, picks a team and we beat Pompey. He keeps most of them for the following game against high-flying Luton and we were unlucky to lose.

Then we come up against struggling Oxford and he frigging changes it up again. Been raving about Butterfield playing so well at the top of the diamond. Where did he stick him today?!?!

I don't think some people realise just what a precarious position we are in when we drop. As you said, when the loanees and short termers are gone we are left with a rag tag bunch of overpaid individuals, none of them who i care to see stay at the club. Worst squad of players put together to resemble a team i've seen in my time supporting City.

 

I predicted this ! look he might do a good breakfast but there's been no bounce factor since he arrived. Three games in and the audition for League 2 is not good is it ? I didn't ask much of him. Make us harder to beat; make sure we don't get cut further adrift and show us a "Bowyer style" even if it's square pegs in round holes. He's affected very little in fact his choices are restricting us in my view. Let's not kid ourselves any longer this group and this administration are taking us into the abyss. There's dozy Thornton on Pulse clutching at straws and Bowyer on carping on about a penalty at the death we didn't get ? Where the hell were we for the 90mins how many shots on goal ? We shouldn't be relying on last chance benevolence from the Officials for God's sake !? We are already bar the shouting rock bottom and in League 2 ! The supporters have done nothing to deserve such a fate but by bloody hell those players; and management rightly will deserve it !

 

So true, It really hurts to see clubs like Bournemouth, Brighton Watford thriving in the premier league, teams that we used to beat regularly when it was a level playing field. Now it's only the sugar daddy clubs that will prosper in the greed is good football world.

 

I feel the same mate. Before the reign of Rupp and Rahic i thought we had turned a corner in how the perception of Bradford City was to the general populous of the area. In al the years i've watched them the club has never really had what you would call a close affinity with people of this City yet through the success of Parky with his cup runs and promotion it became a positive to support what has generally been a lower league shitkicker with attendances to match. I guess most of us thought the arrival of the Germans was the next step in progression and a better long term outlook for the club rather than the seat of the pants approach we had seen for years.
Turns out we were the unsuspecting tourists who were blinded by the elaborate spiel of the time share salesman, now desperately looking for crumbs of comfort after being mugged off. It was god awful in league 2 for years, going back there just ain't worth thinking about.

 

Bowyer didn't help himself with his bizarre tactics and squad choices but to be fair to him he's only been here a week or two, he doesn't understand yet just how bad a squad of players he has at his disposal. Neither did all the other managers that have been here until it was too late. No manager could turn this utter shambles around, the warning signs have been there all season, fundamental problems that are impossible to fix because of what happened in pre season. I would have quite happily ended our season weeks ago as it has been inevitable we would go down as soon as February 1st came around. We are bottom for a reason, that reason it is we are the truly the worst team in the division.

 

Agree Bowyer probably doesnt quite realise what a bunch of has beens he has got.

Billy Clarke was turning/turned garbage when we somehow offloaded him last time so why on earth would we want to re sign him at such a critical time woth time running out. He was not gonna offer anything to the squad. And the rest that came were shocking too, thanks Hopkin.

 

Another fan like you that wants a manager sacked based on a performance. Hes a proven manager at this level and the one below and actually seems to know how to build the right squad. Bellend

 

Can’t blame Bowyer. The club has been on a downwards spiral for 15 or 16 months. The whole squad went in the summer, a new squad in, three managers this season, an out of depth CEO left, a supposedly knowledgeable one came in and still in There is something seriously rotten at VP.

The serious business is stopping this slide and rebuilding again in the summer because if not in 12 months we’ll be looking forward to Derby games at Halifax and Harrogate.
