hopefully we can get a win it is about time the team got back to winning ways and show the fans they do care, with the game not on telly the attendance should be a lot more than against Shrewsbury, I'm going for a 1-0 win with about 13000 fans there although the attendance figure give out as 194000

We won’t beat a promotion chasing Pompey as we’re just not good enough. As for the crowd, can’t see us getting many more than last week even though it’s not on the telly box. Bore 1-1 draw for me.

That’s the problem though Park. We’ve been consistently shite. Although I’ll concede last week was much improved. Hope I’m wrong obviously.

On their day, Portsmouth have too much up front, whereas City on their day can get a Draw. :(
City 1 - 2 Portsmouth. The balance is not in Citys favour - and we've sod all to compete for.

Forgetting the shambles at Blackpool, Grayson has delivered two clean sheets in four games. Our previous two before then were in the reverse fixtures against Shrewsbury & Portsmouth. So having gone sixteen games and almost four months without a clean sheet, Grayson is getting there on that issue. But the sacrifice has been in attack with one goal in our last seven. So there is still a lot of work to do and a balance to be found.

In Brett Pitman, Portsmouth have a striker that will only need one chance. So we either need to continue to do well at the back or start scoring if we are going to get anything. I think an unchanged side would make sense. Although with Warnock now announcing his retirement we could do with seeing Chicksen get some games.

True, however that was back in October when we were actually playing well and chasing promotion. Fast forward six months and with the exception of last week we look like we couldn’t win an argument

On the plus side our performance levels have been better in the last three home matches

Can't see past a Pompey win to be honest. We haven't got any goals in us at all.

Very much so. But its taken a sacrificing some of the more technically good and experienced players to find the hard working attitude that Grayson wants and needs - and he's certainly relying on youth in midfield and attack to find that. It was counterbalanced by the experience in the back 5 but the average age of the midfield and attack against Shrewsbury was 22 and the average number of games between them must show up much more inexperience.

My thoughts exactly. But the optimist in me thinks that there is something in the Wyke/Bruenker partnership, for the short term at least. They caused Shrewsbury problems so hopefully we see more of the same. But we need to start scoring.

194000 is a tad optimistic given our league form IMHO.

Shrews were pretty poor opposition and we still couldn't score when they went down to ten. Pompey will be a tougher test.

Yes a good effort by Portsmouth and it just shows how things change we took well over 1200 to Portsmouth and very fortunate to get the win, had we have been playing for a top 6 position I think we could have had 19,000 plus but can’t see more than 13,000 down at VP, I also think Portsmouth will come for the draw but hopefully Wyke can get back to scoring goals with a couple. 2-0 to city.
