There will be plenty interested in the managers job.Just because we couldn't agree terms with sir I'm a championship manager Grayson doesn't mean that others won't be willing take take on the role.

 

I'd be very surprised if less than ten agents haven't already been in contact

 

Edin doesn't like dealing with agents, i am surprised you haven't heard this, one of the very big reasons the club struggles to get talent into valley parade- see january 2018.

Sorry, perhaps I should have made it clearer. Did I anywhere suggest that Edin had taken calls? or did I just suggest that a number of agents would have seen an opportunity?

We get home crowds of 15K plus. We have plenty to attract a good manager

 

I still think we’d be a decent prospect for a lot of managers. Good fan base, top half squad, bit of cash to spend. If a new manager comes in and gets us firing on all cylinders early on and in the top 2 then we would have 15,000-20,000 every week. Just like this season.

The only difference is we need to maintain it past Christmas. Seems pretty attractive to me if I was a manager.

You said they'd "been in contact". How else would anyone have read that?

 

Been in contact seems pretty straightforward to me, and as I tried to clarify, perhaps unwisely that didn't necessarily mean thta Edin had responded, just that the notion that no one would be interested in the job was way off the mark/

 

What happened this season will have little bearing on the coming season as most of the players will be gone!

Therefore, what an opportunity for an up and coming manager to bring in his own players, back himself and aim towards the top of the league.

There'll be loads of managers interested now Simon has gone.

Why shouldn't he go considering all the abuse he got on twitter which made him close down his account? If he gets a good deal he should go. Fair play to him. Step up in role probably. Good luck to him.

 

Jason and James are very close so there might be something in this. It would be understandable for Jason to be sad if James leaves if he is his secret source within BD 8 towers.

1. A peace maker who visits 1 a year to keep up in an investment he has no interest in but seems a good guy.

Two interesting quotes from Bolton and Parky.

Firstly, from Parky - which leads me to wonder how he always got it so wrong....

Now that second quote is interesting because I'm sure many posters on here would have heard a similar thing from our club and the response would be - why's the chairman meddling, what does he know about football, leave the manager to it, stop getting involved, that's not how it's done in England, Parky would never allow it that's why he left. BUT here's a chairman, with Phil P no less, talking about the team and tactics EVERY DAY!!

So, actually, what's happening with us is not much different to another club in a higher division.
