Absolute scenes when Ridehalgh and Derbyshire sign new 2 year deals

 

Notice a few people didn’t say Walker. He might have his injury problems, but the latest was a shocking foul on him leading to a bone injury. He’s not injury prone, just exposes himself to risk with his style.

Ryan Sparks has proven that the players aren't really relevant.

We aren't committed to a style of play. Bradford City does not have a formation, or a tactic that extends beyond the tenure of the current manager.

These guys don't matter one bit, and that's why their performances are so below par.

If we sign Walker for another couple of years, and Sparks appoints a guy who plays one up front and no central attacking midfielder, what's the point in that outlay? We've just got another older player on a long term contract, like Derbyshire.

Every single player is a waste of money unless Sparks can tell us what Bradford City are really all about, and it's pretty apparent the guy has zero clue.

Let them all go, every one, unless Sparks himself goes, which is much more preferable.

 

We do have a strange supporter base. The claim is that we will back players that may lack some skill but put in 100%. Yet how much stick does Smallwood get. Don’t get me wrong, he has his weaknesses, but he’s not as bad as some make out.

I saw something on social media that summed him up perfectly. He’s not as composed on the ball as McDonald, but he’s a better tackler than him and he never stops trying. The biggest issue with him is his poor set-piece delivery.

I would look to keep him, plus Pointon, Walker & Halliday and maybe Doyle as the back-up keeper/coach

 

Priority is to get rid of Smallwood. For an experienced Championship calibre player, he has been abysmal in L2 and a major disappointment.

Also, he will be a top earner which will free up budget. We need a young dynamic box to box CM.

The rest of them can go bollocks after the last couple of seasons. Smallwood should change his name by deed pole to deadwood
