    Because if they finished in September we'd have no players for 7 months of the season.

    The truth is officially pre season starts in July (occasionally some teams play end of June but rare) therefore a 12 month contract is July to end June.

    In all l fairness this is a ‘general football issue’ rather than one solely related to City. Agree with the very little man fan on this one!
