    Keep seeing a report about our offical charity partner Penny Appeal on BBC news about investigations from the Charity Commission into financial and safe guarding issues plus delays betweem acceptimng donations and using them. Just glad that the connection isn't well known so hopefully the club should stay out of any bad publicity but surely the club did some due diligence into the charity before agreeing a long term agreement

    I thought that was the Charity Commission’s job? Otherwise how would it be a bone fide charity.?

    it is their job but surely you would think twice about getting involved with a charity that keeps getting invesigated by the charity commision.

    It's very difficult to really check up on people these days until something is formally proven and released into the public domain. I can name a place that has been raided by authorities, and the director is currently going through court but not a single news story has been released which I can only presume is because the authorities don't want to publicise it at this stage, however many people still use these services and in my opinion deserve to know. I know they say innocent until proven guilty, but the wheels of justice take a long long time to move.

    So I won't really fire shots on things like this.

    there had been coverage at the times of the previous incidents and they have since received a warning from the charity commission about something else.
