Fair play to MH. He could have made a big deal about the referee blowing early on Saturday, but he kept his mouth shut. I'm sure those inside the club won't have been happy about it but they've not talked about it in the media.

 

That didn’t happen when we stayed up against Liverpool in 2000!!!! They cleared the pitch before restarting play.

 

Complain about it and you just sound bitter, unfortunately. Like Simpson did after the first leg. Bizarrely, the best time to complain about the referee is when you win. People seem to take notice then.

Probably because he knew it would be a pointless complaint, the referee most likely blew 5 seconds early. We could have played another 10 minutes and we didn't look like creating a decent chance

You may well be right. The referee should decide when the game ends though, not the home fans.

 

What happened to freedom of speech.If every manager who complained about the ref.got charged,they would have to set on more staff at the EFL.

 

The difference is he has questioned the referee's integrity.
You can say 'I didn't agree with some decisions today'. You can't say 'The referee was biased towards the home team'.

 

Although Carlisle deserved to win. I personally think the way their management and fans behaved was pretty poor all around.
Especially the childish fireworks and car horns outside our team hotel at 3 am in the morning.
Are we such a good football team that they had to resort to this.
If i was the ELF i would with hold any monies due to them from the playoff's.
If we can be held responsible for fans with flares in a pub in Rochdale, they should also be held to account.

 

How naive were we to allow our hotel location to get out?

Not really. You come to a written agreement with the Hotel and spell out the consequences of it getting out.

It was another guest from Plymouth, who was quoted in the papers, recognised our players.
As i said impossible to keep things quite these days.

I do not want our football to change into the crazy antics that get on in other leagues around the world.
England 1970 world comes to mind, trying to keep players awake all night and arresting the captain over a stolen watch.
Its a bloody game, when all is said and done.
