The 98/99 promotion season was the best football I've seen from a Bradford City team. Better than the nearly season, although I didn't go to as many matches then.

Only time in my lifetime when you went to see us knowing we had the capability to hammer the opposition.

Sometimes when I think sections of our fan base can’t out do previous cringe worthy incidents they go and absolutely excel at it.
An utterly ridiculous banner imo and I loved Parkinson.

No chance …..Paul Jewell in two divisions above standard , a country mile better. Not discrediting Wrexhams manager but a different class .

No idea. Imagine the players and KM. walking out on a very important home game with that banner on display. The opposition manager is somehow a mythical dream manager and therefore teams he manages are unbeatable. Idiots!

Hmm been about for all of them and the PP era edges it for me at the top spot personally. Never felt as close to the team as i did during that time. The memories of the Arsenal, Chelsea & Sunderland games were unbelievable. The Villa away match was something I'll never forget, Being there with my Dad and mates that night honestly don't think I've ever celebrated a goal like that before or since!

A debate that will continue as long as those who remember are with us Park. Not really comparable as you rightly say. It’s no different to comparing Mills v David Layne v Jim v Bobby . We could talk late into the night ..at the end of the day, it’s all about opinions.

When Parky last visited valley parade with Bolton he walked all round the pitch at the end of the game and applauded the city fans. He wasn't being filmed for a documentary then.

All I can say to that Dave is in November 2015 I was in Sainsbury cafe at Greengates and bumped into a member of the first team non playing staff. I complimented him on our great win at Scunthorpe the day before. He then shocked me by saying Parkinson was definitely going at the end of that season and taking all the staff with him. He was very unhappy that he couldn’t take the Sheffield Utd job as Rhodes and Lawn wanted too much compensation. He said he was also unhappy about the playing budget after our amazing cup run beating Chelsea Sunderland and reaching quarterfinals. The Rahic meeting in 2016 suits Parkinsons narrative of reason to leave but I’m convinced he’d have left anyway.

As a neutral here, I have to say the 'banner' was a little 'odd' to say the least.
If Parkinson had 'popped his clogs' and this was a tribute to him then fair enough I suppose, but considering he was an opposition manager then a polite round of applause would surely have been sufficient.

In my time of watching City. 1. Paul Jewel. 2. Chris Kamara. 3. Parky. 4. McCall.

Those who were not around during the top two I really feel for you, but the reality of best managers is not one person.

My old eyes might be going but I didn't see the banner. What I did hear, however, was lots of polite applause when Parkinson arrived at the dugout, which I thought was fair enough.

He certainly didn’t do that in the game at Bolton

Parky won’t be there much longer. They have arguably a League One squad yet they’re playing for opposition defensive mistakes to create chances!

No. It started off at the back of blocks E and F of the lower main stand and went on over the lower NW corner before meeting its end in the lower Kop, thank goodness.

We'll have to agree to disagree yes the standard of football was better then but for me personally I enjoyed the PP era more just my opinion.
