That is up there with the most abject performances I’ve seen as a City fan.
Back four did ok in difficult conditions - Akpan did ok. The other front five were atrocious.

 

Surely the goal is given way before the penalty. How can we kick off, win a pen and then their goal be chalked off?

 

Ah well we fully deserve all we get, been awful all season so best to be put out of our misery i suppose. That's me done for VP not travelling over for L2.

 

I'm off to make a chicken and bacon salad and then kick the cat right up its arse.

And why did Bowyer drop Lewis O’Brien, very silly decision. Deluded.

 

Did the linesman flag for the penalty whilst they were breaking away to score? Surely he can't just randomly start waving his flag a minute after an incident with all the players at the other end of the pitch?

 

We didnt kick off....
The penalty was flagged for before they scored.

We didn’t kick off. He gave the goal, then cancelled it and gave the pen after speaking to linesman then cancelled pen and gave goal after speaking to other linesman. We refused to kick off and he spoke to 4th official and then we finally kicked off.

 

Today has knocked the fight and stuffing out of me. I just want putting out of our misery now.

 

For those trying to catch up with the ref farce at the end, here’s my take.

1. City had a break, Miller squares it to LOB who puts it wide from 8 yards.
2. As LoB hits it, a challenge comes in.
3. Oxford take a quick goal kick and counter. As they’re doing this, the Lino in their half doesn’t flag.
4. They go and score.
5. The ref then gets called by the lino in the oxford half and disallows the goal, signalling a city pen, presumably for the challenge on LoB
6. After consultation with the 4th official, he reverts to his original decision.


Farcical but it wasn’t a pen and the decision was right.

We were garbage and fully deserved to lose.

 

That's what I hearing on the radio, we'll see better when there is video coverage ?.

 

We were 2nd best and deserved to be beaten by all accounts but if Ref can't do his job and I know they don't have it easy but that decision was shocking and a demotion beckons for him as it does us.
