Agree with a lot of your post, but interestingly I spoke to Oxford fans after the game who very much rated Chicksen’s performance.

For what it’s worth I thought the back 4, O’Donnell and Akpan has decent games.

Anderson had a poor game, no hiding from that, but to rate him worse than Clarke?? He’s another scapegoat on here already. Also at least the guy had the decency to applaud supporters at the end. It was clear he recognised he’d had a poor game and undercame a hell of a lot of abuse from some of our “supporters”’at the front. Completely unecessary.

As for Saturday, decision for Bowyer is should we go all guns blazing from the off and try get the goals we desperately need, or start a little cautious? Going for it will naturally leave a weak defence exposed, however being cautious risks us conceding and we know our challenges coming back from goals down.

For me, we need to go at them from the off. The strengths we do have are some of our forward thinking players. Two up top, consider Miller back in the team, just not sure if Payne starts?
