Based on commentary oxford should have had it wrapped up well before injury time. Farcical refereeing or not we deservedly sit at the bottom of the league.

    This season can do one!

Sounds like a complete farce at the end but it should in no way paper over the fact that we are going down and deservedly so. Some seriously questionable selections today but to be honest, with the substandard shower we have at our disposal it's almost irrelevant who is in charge. Our squad is relegation fodder and our fate was just about sealed before a ball was kicked.
I actually fear for us next season. Thanks to Edin, we are a club in serious decline. Our better players are loanees and the remainder are not good enough at all. Whoever takes the reigns next season will have a mammoth task just to halt this slide I feel...

It's a broken club. It was broken when McCall was here, broken under Grayson, under Collins and under Hopkins. Hardly surprising that it's still broken under Bowyer.

They had over 20 shots. They deserved it far more than we did.

'Rupp has a responsibility to sort this shit show with serious backing next season. I hope he lives up to his promises.'.

Really? Grow up. Why would he? if you seriously believe he is going to throw even more money at this utter basket case of a club, you are seriously deluded. We are down and we will finish bottom of a very poor league. Thousands will not renew (even at that price it is shit value for money), sponsors will disappear in droves and we will really struggle to stay in the League. I can see non league football and oblivion on the (near) horizon.

For a brief moment this morning I thought about going today. Fecking glad I didn't and will certainly find something better things to do with my Saturdays. Meanwhile, Payne counts his dosh. Bowyer walks away at the end of the season (we didn't much from the Grayson scenario then?) and the club is utterly rudderless, skint and........................need I go on?

EVERY decision this club has made in the last two seasons has been completely the wrong one. This is NOT a professional sports club. I am embarrassed, whereas once (and fairly recently) I was proud and thought we had something special going on.

I watched on I follow and wasn’t a pen in a million years. We were truly dreadful. Oxford weren’t much better. A half decent team would have hit us for 6 today. We’re gone

Let's give Reece Staunton a run of games. Maybe Maltby deserves some time as well. May as well play our own kids who will at least try.

Been thinking for the last few games we may do a City and unexpectedly kickstart a run to preserve our L1 status historically we have won when no one has given us a chance and gone on to achieve the unexpected, have given up now this team is the worst I have seen in over 50 years No bottle inner steel and the will to win has only be seen in selected matches
No doubt in my mind we are going down, this season has been the worst I can remember on and off the pitch and unless drastic changes are made before, next season could be even worse !!!!

Have to agree. Goes without I hope we stay up, but appointing Collins then appointing a manager who managed in Scotland who knows nothing about league 1 then allowing him to sign about 10 midfielders without getting him to balance his squad or use the players he's has.

    The list is endless!

If we go down. We only have ourselves to blame.

We are now rapidly running out of games before we will shortly find ourselves in the last chance L1 saloon.

Wrestling at least 15pts from our remaining nine games when we haven't achieved that level of return all season seems a tall order and particularly for our current crop of under achievers.

Ideally though we must at least get a point tomorrow at Oxford and particularly with the game being against one of our main rivals for the drop.

Assuming at least a point tomorrow, then we somehow need to find a win and further draw from our four remaining away games.

Then it's all down to whether we can end our home campaign with a burst of ten points from our four remaining games.

I'll stick my neck out to say we should beat fellow strugglers Gillingham and Wimbledon at VP. Frankly if we can't then we really don't deserve to stay up. Then it all boils down to whether we can pull out all the stops and somehow find a way past either one of promotion hopefuls Blackpool or Doncaster and draw the other.

We're not quite done yet and at this point l'd definitely take the final game v Wimbledon at VP to decide our fate.

It's certainly a big challenge but with added twists and turns amongst our relegation rivals it's not mission impossible.

He was hardly prolific first time round.

Pressure from Oxford time and time again. We're not keeping hold of the ball, not getting up the pitch.

    Where's Connor Wood?
