Apparently on brink of signing for Scunthorpe. Surprised he is playing at such a high level :D

How on earth has he got another club? He's barely played for 3 years and has less than 150 appearances in 10 seasons.

Even at Scunthorpe's level, I wouldn't be touching him with a bargepole as it's clearly more than ability as to why he's played so little.

Don't forget Scunthorpe are now in the part-time National League North - 2 divisions below us.

    It's about his level IMO.

I'm not sure it's even that high. He struggled badly at the level above and was binned off very early into his deal there.

Hard to belive that Scunthorpe have fallen so far so fast.I remember some good battles with them, and not that long ago.

Yeah, it's a shame really. I'd much rather be going there and Oldham than the artificially grown Forest Green and Salford's of this world.

But it’s the truth? It’s not a nasty comment

He was farmed out by Hughes, to Oldham in the conference, and couldn’t even get in their team. Some of their fans said he was the worst player they’ve seen despite having some very poor players contribute to their relegation from League 2

To think he played in the Championship for 3 seasons for Bolton, and in the Belgium Premier League for Beveren..

    That's massively misleading.

He only made 9 appearances in those 3 seasons at Bolton and I would wager most, if not all were sub appearances.

In Belgium he appeared just twice.

And yet he was an almost ever present in midfield for Salford before he came to us. Sorry for the guy.

47 league appearances during their first 2 seasons in the football league. Not exactly ever present. Why you feel sorry for the guy? There’s no sentiment in football when it comes to poor players

From reports it does seem he has a few mental health issues and failing in your chosen profession can't be easy, so I feel a bit for him but unfortunately, as he is, he's not worth a place in our squad. He knows that and it must be a hard thing to come to terms with, so I feel a bit sorry for him too.

Because he's still a human and he's struggled massively with mental health issues. I hope he can find a club that he can regain some form as he was a good player before his move to Belgium
