Makes sense. America is probably expecting a Purge-type scenario, guns will be fairly useful in that environment.

Here, fellows will be streaming rolls of toilet paper from their rooftops, hoping someone gets tangled, trips and falls, preventing an attack.

That's where the politicians say "we're following the best scientific advice", despite it making no sense, and the decision then gets seen as 'brave' because it certainly doesn't appear to be 'smart'.

Personally I'd choose smart over brave, but it is what it is ;)

Just been reading through the programme for this match that will never be played (surprisingly, there is no mention of the pandemic anywhere in the programme).

So, my question is 'has there ever been a programme produced for a competitive match by City before, where the match was never played (so postponed and eventually played matches don't count)'?

Nearest that I can think of would be the home match at the start of 1939/40 season, which was played, but as the league was then cancelled, thanks to Herr Hitler, the result would be voided.

Yes, we had 4 matches, at the start of that season, that were voided. We've also had lots of postponed and abandoned matches, for which programmes were produced as well, but I can't think of another one where the match was never played or replayed.

Looks like only 3 games were played, and only one of those was at home. I think we were beaten by Accrington, who were league leaders. I anticipate the next game would have been on Saturday 9th September and would have been a home game. However I guess that the programme, such as they were then, would have been printed during the week, and as war was declared on the Sunday, may not have been produced.
