This miserable run of 1 goal in the last 6 home league games - and that against bottom of the table Grimsby Town - has only been equalled twice in our history (but never beaten)

It could be argued that the other 2 times it happened maybe slightly worse as we only scored one goal in 7 home league games
27 Feb 1906 up to 28 April 1906 and (slightly more recent) 20 March 1972 up to 10 May 1972

Another fantastic achievement by our dynamic duo equalling history. These should be given a new 3 year deal to celebrate. Only fair...

But wait, there's more! Four league matches in a row at home without scoring; one more and we'll tie the club record.

Play with one striker at home and we all better get used to low scoring games. We ain’t going to attract decent forwards when there’s only one position up for grabs and goal scoring 10s in league 2 are as rare as a @Fordy117@Fordy117 donation receipt.

The pressure from the stands next season will be there from the off if T & S are still in their roles. We’ve missed a full season of live football and will not want to see games played in our half, with ten men behind the ball.

This says it all. It suggests we are flattered by our league position in 14th and deserve to be 18th. It suggests we've won nine points more than you would expect based on the quality of chances we created.

We sort of turned a blind eye to it when we had that immediate impact after their caretaker arrival, but the underlying data suggest that form was NOT sustainable long term.

It is unlikely to be improved upon next season as even with new players arriving our mentality is wrong.

Well done on keeping us up but we need a new mindset for next season.
