Well I don't have any information to hand but I'm not going to guess id just like to know where this million pound injection was reported because I've never seen it.

 

And the last of the wells money ? And season tickets ? I dare say all 3 won't be far off 2.5

Some on here constantly tell us that the likes of Scannell, Doyle, Akpan, Riley, O’Connor were earning circa £20k a week between them. Then there was the money allegedly paid towards Payne. On those 6 players alone, we supposedly spent more than £1.3m. The overspend for last season was quoted as being more than £2m. Most of those players are still here, so an overspend would be significant again this time.

Despite that, Rupp was supposed to have added £1m to the budget for the coming season. I’m not sure the Wells money and the next instalment from Sunderland would cover that loss.

 

Ok, look at it another way, season ticket sales is supposed to only bring in £1.2m to £1.5m, so how can we claim to have given Bowyer a £2.5m budget if Rupp hasn’t topped it up?

Didn’t @Glenn Ackroyd confirm this in a forum a couple of months back that @Jason McKeown covered on WOTP?

 

Promotion will get him more money back. Speculate to accumulate

 

He could sell for 30% less and get back what he purchased (ignoring the overspend etc)

 

Some scouts get a percentage of future sales, 1st team appearances etc. Of course every deal is different but if he has he’ll be skipping around the mumbles

But he did at youth level.

 

Rupp has injected money in to cover debts but surely the extra £900,000 in the playing budget is taking slices from all the other income streams like sponsorship, ticket sales, merchandise etc. The club had a turnover of around £6m in L1 I think?

 

The club is very expensive to run and gets 400kj less this year from the league

 

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it. However someone on Twitter made a very good point. Whilst Rupp may decide to take the transfer fee out. What the transfer does do is raise our income for the year significantly, which in turn allows our wage budget to increase as the 2 are directly linked int he EFL's FFP rules. At no point has the club said there's no more money available but what it has been intimated at is that we're at the 55% threshold.
