Was that the pub top left on Ivegate (looking up) its had so many names over the years, our lot always went into the White Lion on Johns Street prior to the game, then when that closed we formed a supporters branch in the Fox & Goose just off Canal Road.

 

Yes of course we occasionally went to the Bolton then across the road to the Belfry, was it always called the Belfry as it was always full on a Friday night.

 

Maybe in hindsight we should have moved up there taken the old Avenue ground and the cricket ground.

 

Shame they demolished them if my memory serves me well they were immaculate all the brass fittings highly polished even the attendants in those days took great pride in keeping their toilets cleaner than others scattered around the City, as you say idea job for Fordy, I think he'd have still been in his dad's sack when the " Crystal Palce"was in its prime.

 

Where are they Rod Kensington/ Chelsea .

The top picture was the changing facilities if I remember correctly continuing on to the football side of the stand and the other side was the cricket ground stand.
Not a big cricket fan but vaguely remember going to a Sunday game against Somerset who had both Viv Richards and Beefy playing for them on a beautiful summers day packed Park Avenue, I those days you could have a beer needles to say we had a few hence my vaguely comment.
