I'm unsure about this, refs can't cope or get things right as it is...
Maybe forget the blue and give 10 mins in the bin with a yellow, I really don't know ...

Anther reason to change a game into something different whilst still calling it football

the game is over 100 years old, why do some like to make changes ever year?

if folk don’t like they should watch some other sport.

That comment surprises me from a fan of your standing mate, maybe I should start watching the Bulls ?.

I think if a player for instance is bearing down on goal and is taken out said offender gets a yellow, just be careful for the rest of the game and everything is hunky dory, if said player did the same and got a blue and 10 minutes in the sin bin I'd guarantee his manager wouldn't be saying well done lad taking one for the team.

Seems daft to me - just something else to cause argument and it will be exploited to cause problems. Somebody gets a blue card and then everybody in that team takes turn to get cramp - nothing happens for 10 minutes. Games will become non-events.

Ridiculous idea. I can see why it would work at grassroots level but if you bring it into the professional game it's not football anymore.

Sorry Bronco, maybe a tad harsh, I’m just fed up of new needles rules being brought in, why ko playing to your own goal, flag offside late, what goalies can and can’t do, pull a player back by his shirt, it’s a yellow not a Freeby blue card. Ps Bulls ok just don’t go Rugby Union :)

Things in life and sports and industry generally work better when you simplify them. This makes things more complicated and will lead to confusion and mistakes. I don’t like it

Changes have always happened in football, people just don't like change. Once upon a time you started with 11 players and that was it for the match. Just over 50 years ago there was no such thing as red and yellow cards. Or a win used to be 2 points and that changed.
Football in 50 years time will be different to what it is now as it was 50 years ago. If it stood still then we'd still have the same laws that we had in the 1800s when the first laws of football were formed.

A game with an acceptable ref was better 50 years ago and much better with a decent ref. Pat Partridge was a great ref but he'd look an idiot at times trying to enforce recent rule changes.

I had no problems with experiments and changes up to VAR. Remember golden goal in extra time? Failed but worth trying. Even going round in circles with offside eventually produced a slightly better result. However, changes have stepped up a pace and got dafter since VAR was introduced and they are slowly turning the game into a parody of itself.

Too many fans are slowly falling out of love with the game. I sometimes just go to bed if I'm tired rather than watch Match of the Day. I know it's going to be full of pundits moaning about nonsensical decisions from new rules that have been introduced without trialling properly. Why stay up to watch games that have been spoiled?

Unfortunately, it's filtering down to the EFL. I can see a point where I'll give up if they carry on getting dafter, and just save my 5 hours and £40 costs to spend on something more pleasant on a Saturday than moaning about problematic refereeing decisions.

For me, they can just go back to how it was the season before VAR. (Keep goal line technology.) The refereeing drew plenty of criticism but it was a lot better than it is now and it did not have the extra expense and wasted time. I said before VAR was introduced that people thought referees occasionally make daft mistakes and all VAR would do was prove it. I did not expect it to change the rules so that they made a lot more of them!

So the keeper get's a blue card.
Do you sub off an outfield player for a sub keeper, and after 10 minutes you end up with two keepers?
Or an outfield player goes in nets for 10 minutes ?

I don't feel like you need to be mystic meg to realise that further down the leagues this will only lead to even more stoppages in play, even more blatant time wasting and even more, under pressure referees, making even more, poor decisions.

Rule changes just add more inconsistency to refereeing. Even in the prem with 20 odd camera angles, they still get it wrong!
