I can quite see from the angle, was Cookie’s header going in anyway? I think perhaps not??

After seeing us get bummed against Gills with a 90+5 goal or so, and seeing Salford score late that day for a double whammy, it was good to see us giving and not receiving yesterday.

God we got battered second half!

 

Yep. We can always improve. Interesting that a lot of our goals recently have been from similar tactics, i.e. it seems to be 'the' league 2 way to success.

 

And I think it's good enough for L1 and certainly have no doubt we'll be similarly 'tight' if we're still down here next season.

That back four, even without Critchlow, is still very impressive at this level.

 

Absolutely, all 3 goals were from dead balls yesterday and getting them right in both boxes is absolutely key at any level.

Perhaps we just need to evolve the midfield naturally and with a taller, more aggressive player in there we'd have a ready made replacement for Smallwoods back post role?

We obviously just need to be careful not to lower the quality on the pitch just to squeeze in more height as either way, we're just moving the problem around.
