What's up with this season, were in the mix (if we can't claim 3rd auto) but we shouldn't be afraid of any of the teams if we do have to get promoted through the play offs.

 

I’d back us against anyone atm. Would be most worried about Salford.

 

The difference being you finish 7th and your in a play off spot, get 8th and your an also ran BIG difference .

 

Agree I'd fancy our chances, of the other 3 Stockport would be the team I didn't fancy especially over two legs, I would prefer Wembley in a one off,

 

It was my 6yr old daughters first City game and I got told off for squeezing her too tight. To be fair the Northampton player we were guests of was rationale about the result after the game and how the game flowed in general.

 

If we'd not conceded against Gilligham in the 421st minute, we'd be in a position of needing to win our last 2 games to go up automatically.

 

If we had not choked so many times at home this season we'd be champions ....

See I don’t mind getting a prediction wrong. I still think City more than likely only being in the playoffs is poor.

However, let’s go on to win it if it’s going to be the case because if not we will be a Massive also ran.

 

If we hadn’t messed about around our own penalty area in the first half inviting pressure and mistakes we would still be in with a shout

 

Oh don’t remind me It’s a sickener when you think about how close we would have been.

Mansfield have never beaten Harrogate, who the BBC describe as their 'bogey side'.

Sometimes it's easy to miss these narratives for other teams! Football is never as straight forward as you might think...

Just short. Been that way all season, just short.

 

I agree always been promotion or bust for me, now we're more or less assured of at least a play off spot quite possibly 4th or 5th we need to go out and win it.

 

Yeah, I mean, if we somehow miraculously nicked 3rd (as unlikely as it is), we'd have stolen it. For me, we've been in the play offs all season, so that's our just outcome. We only dropped out briefly when we hadn't played as many games as the others.

You could see the play offs coming a mile off, though it did become a bit congested and we left it late to book our spot.

Now we've got a 5 game mini season. Two wins and a draw in the play offs isn't beyond us, as long as that draw ain't the Wembley game!!

 

Hard to believe but they have a worse record against Harrogate than we have, have a listen to this after Harrogate beat Mansfield at their place last season.

Harrogate are finishing the season in great form congratulations to them for surviving another season. Their manager deserves great credit
