Totally agree, it would only take 1 punter to cover the cost of a gateman, I do think they are missing a trick here....

If every season ticket holder turned up there would still be 8,000 empty seats...

    In a two minute queue?

Chances are most people who want to go have already got a cheap season ticket.

Anyone else will get there a little earlier and queue for a ticket for about 5 minutes and go into the ground

Is that because of the lack of seats available next to each other ? So they spend time looking for 2/3/4 next to each other?

Guessing you never go to the cinema then?

There you have to queue at the ticket office to buy your ticket and then queue at the screen to go in. Never seen anyone trying to pay at the screen

Because every ticket has a block and seat number printed on it. Surely you've paid cash on a turnstile before?

To be honest, it's not me that takes ages to buy a ticket. But yes I guess that with the number of season tickets sold that could be the issue.

Some people seem to take an age finding the right seats. I'll sit where ever I'm allocated

Thank you so much for your positive reply.
I have been a season ticket holder since 1989.
I am only interested in the welfare of the club and I enjoy matches more when the stadium is full.
It is my view the club does nothing at all to promote individual games as they approach.
They think the stadium fills itself because we are Bradford City
They are wrong and need to apply themselves to that failure for all the remaining games this season.
New punters are the way we will reach our new season ticket target

Can you pay cash at the cinema without going to box office to buy a ticket?
Can you walk into a theatre without a ticket a ticket.
It’s clearly obvious you need to visit the ticket office first. Stop being a complete bell end!!

Handling cash means you need to train the turnstile staff and they’d be expected to have a decent level of maths skills. Deal with it, move on , get a life.

I completely agree about it being a waste of cash but that's how it used to happen when cash turnstiles were the norm. They were printed in order and presumably only the spare seats. Then blocks of tickets allocated to different turnstiles, presumably where there was the most space.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks this is impossible when it was completely commonplace as recent as perhaps the 90's and still happens at away games today when unreserved seating isn't used.

Why would they be on different rows when the tickets are printed in order? They'd get the 3 closest tickets and with around 8000 spare seats every game and I'd guess at less than 500 walk ups I'm betting the club could use the emptiest blocks to ensure this isn't a problem.
