    Just want to dispel a couple of myths about this App. I've made my views on Coronavirus, privacy and data protection clear on this site. Having researched the new app it appears that it is a very well thought out app that stores a very small amount of anonymous data. Contrary to popular belief Serco have not been involved in the app.

    For anyone wanting to know how the app works it uses Bluetooth and randomly generated anonymous codes to determine if you've been in contact with any people with positive cases. Data is stored for a maximum of 14 days before being deleted. It never uses GPS to track you and even if you were to receive an alert you're under no legal obligation to isolate.

    There's questions over how accurate Bluetooth is and also still issues with false positives but all in all I the app is a pretty good way to try and reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

    An immediate flaw with the new system. Fortunately, it's a flaw that should be relatively easy to remedy.

    It depends which world we are trying to beat. I bet those microbes around Venus haven't got a better app.
