I've just read the club statement and I'm sat here childishly giggling to myself. It's like Sparks controlling the ventriloquists dummy. Not that Alexander is a dummy, far from it, but it does feel like he's reading a Sparks script lol.

You are correct about the club issues, just like Derek Adams is (in part) in his latest piece on his time at Valley Parade. However like Kev said let's give the guy a chance and see how it goes. I criticize players when they deserve it but having said that he has enough in the squad to make a start with and see what what changes we need come January.
Whoever we all wanted as manager any appointment is a gamble but at least Alexander and Lucketti know this level and will know which of our players are a good fit going forward, certainly until jan/june.

Certainly giving GA more than a chance. How can you not?
Comes with a clean record for me and he can 9nly be judged upon his time at bcfc, after all that is all that matters.

That said, what goes above is my primary concern. It's been really poor in many of the years under Rupp and I cannot wait for the day he leaves. It guarantees no better times will come but it at least it will be a new chapter under a new regime, one that surely can't be worse than our current regime.

I would think Trueman would revert to his previous job,which I believe was preparing youth team players for first team duty,or something like that.

 

That's not Alexander. It's a slimmed down Gary Barlow.

 

I knew he'd had a long career, but 833 matches is pretty damn good. Didn't realise he had played PL football or was an international either.

One things sure, there should be no penalty misses with him coaching.

Reading up on him has slightly enthused me more than what my opinion of him was. Still slightly on the fence, but his long term football knowledge surely makes him a better choice than an ex PE teacher.

He’s not done anything wrong in all honesty, the real one that needs attention and reflection remaining within the “ playing” side is Gent. He’s as culpable as MH in my opinion.

Irrespective of this seasons outcome, next summer will be interesting with as many as 19 players
( Bobby excepted) in need of moving on ( mostly) and replacing. GA will then be able to build his own squad. It’s that squad where he will be fully judged.

 

Possibly. But Cowleys daughter plays for Chelsea U15s and is an England international. Moving up north with family, moving up on his own or travelling up north and back would be a logistical nightmare.

Doesnt look like the right move for him or our club.

 

Didn't realise GA's last game in charge for MK Dons was against Barrow. It's freaky how often football tends to throw up these kind of scenarios.
