I'm not that disappointed, because I think every person linked with the role had flaws due us been clearly a difficult club to manage. And note I don't blame Sparks for that. Take away Parky's spell and and for whatever reason we haven't got a manager correct since Jewell left.

Significantly, Stuart's 2nd spell, successfully spell, had him inheriting good club (until Rahic got his hands on it) and I remember Parky saying in his early days, following a lot of criticism, that the club needed sorting top to bottom and it would take some time. Which it did.

So I don't blame Sparks for going for someone with experience. Gary Neville has gone on record, saying that he should never have sacked Alexander at Salford and the MK Dons one seemed ridiculously hasty. Let's remember, he gave Scunthorpe their best seasons of the last ten years and did a decent job at Motherwell.

I'll judge him after ten matches. Not ten minutes.

I'm genuinely interested. Salford regretted sacking him and Scunthorpe probably have a statue of him - given how successful he was with them, compared to where they are now.

MK Dons? Winkleman is always trigger happy. I'm not condeming a manager given just a dozen matches.

I don't see him as great. But I don't see why he shouldn't last a year, either.

 

Agree. I'd have like Richardson, but I do think the club is far too complex to employ a manager who's never been at this level.
