    Of course.

How can’t you see that. They hired MH, they run the club, sign off on players. Agree to 3 year contracts for utter shite players.

There are the biggest problem at this club and need to go.

But, you can't get rid of Rupp and I can't get rid of Rupp. The only way Rupp goes is a successful takeover and, of course, there's no guarantee we'll get the right owner. The football world is notorious for takeovers turning sour.

Sparks has his faults but our problems right now are on the pitch. If he went tomorrow those problems will still exist. CEO's don't coach the players, set the tactics, or identify new players for recruitment.

What happens on the top reflects on the pitch.

If you have shit owners and CEO then your club will be shit. It’s that simple.

    Here ..

    Mark Hughes - poll added

This was the original thread when he joined us in Feb 22. Of course, it's been added to enormously since then.

Good to see the T&A article Parker put up last night. Hughes sort of dismisses the booing as being a minority but with Rupp at the game and now Parker doing a little piece on it, hopefully Rupp knows the fans aren’t happy.

Won’t be long til he’s gone now. Fans have turned and there’s no way back - more and more have had enough by the week as we drop more points.

sack him now and eradicate the negativity before the seasons ruined irreparably.

the fact so many on here are discussing the next manager is a slap in the face for Sparky. He’s done.

I don't disagree but, when you look at the betting list for the Cheltenham vacancy, I'm not filled with much optimism at finding a successful replacement. Sparks must be praying for quick turnaround in fortunes on the pitch, as I don't envy him looking for a new manager, taking that list as a yardstick. Whoever we get looks likely to have been more a "miss" than a "hit" elsewhere.

We should sack Hughes along with Hodges and Gent. None have done us any favours, We should appoint Truman as temporary manager with his choice out of the many coaches we have as assistant, This will give the club breathing space to bring in a proper plan going forward and also to do lengthy research and due diligence on a replacement manager,

Why ? None of us knew at that point what a stubborn dinosaur he would be, so course we all welcomed him with open arms. The biggest tool in judging anyone is hindsight, and what was said then has zero impact on what we are seeing now.

Hughes must realise he's now under pressure and his job is on the line, irrelevant of injuries etc this season so far has been crap for want of another word with regards the football on show, and that has been from the first game with all his player fit.
I'm guilty of saying 10/15 games is more a time line to judged him unfortunately I'm starting to sway onto the side of those who think he's not the manager to get us out of this league, Newport won't make or break our season but a defeat on Saturday will make it even more difficult to say give him time.

Yeah, but maybe it is time to think outside the box. I still think we need to look for a Kieran McKenna type. Not him, but someone like that, a respected modern coach from a higher level looking to break into management.

i think Rupp/Sparks made they right call when they appointed Trueman and Sellars as that is the type we need - just, with all respect to those lads, we need guys with better experience than from Eccleshill United and some L2 junior sides.

The betting list you mention is full of the usual suspects but we need to be putting in some proper work and looking deeper beneath the surface.

we need a young dynamic coach that excites players, makes them want to be at Apperley Bridge on a morning and lets them express themselves instead of setting up for a 0-0 like Hughes will at Newport tomorrow.

Controversial/ devils advocate point, but I wonder how many in the Hughes out side of things, are secretly hoping for a heavy defeat on Saturday just to get rid of him ?

Oh definitely, Ulysses. I make no secret of it.

He’s papered over the cracks against Grimsby and Harrogate but if it takes a few stuffings in Wales and vs Boro in the cup to crank the pressure up, I hope we get beat 5-0 tomorrow. Anything to get rid of him.

We need him out before October to give the new man time to make up lost ground/assess things before January.

all a win does is delay the inevitable.

    Hughes out.

I would never wish that on my team irrespective of how I feel about the manager.

I would dearly love them to go on a run of good results and entertain us and prove me wrong starting tomorrow.

Do you not just think it is delaying the inevitable though Idle?

I don’t see on what basis we should expect this side under him to entertain us, go on a run or prove us wrong.

He’s a dead man walking and should have gone after Carlisle if truth be told.

Not aimed at you but everyone to their own mate I would never want my team to take a heavy beating, if for nothing else for the fans traveling to Newport which is a long haul and expensive.
I do believe even if we get beat if the team look like they were giving Newport a game and it is a big improvement to what we have witnessed recently Hughes will be given longer.

    I agree.
Never want us to lose, but we’ve had numerous posters saying they didn’t feel like celebrating a last minute equaliser against a local rival.
Others saying they wish we hadn’t equalised at all.
Once that sort of rot sets in,it’s hard to turn those fans round.

He'll not feel any pressure Dave, it's not like he's desperate to put food on his family's table, never thought his heart was in it, we need someone with ambition and hunger...he's done here..
