I can see us rushing a secondary managerial appointment now given the pressure that's mounting.

That would be the worst possible course of action... I know it will be frustrating if the process takes another month, but if that's what it takes to not just randomly appoint some guy, I'm actually all for it. But we need to be told that's what's happening.

 

Why apply and go through and interview process then??

If I was married to him I would have told him not to apply, as it would disrupt the family too much. Unless of course he makes a habit of applying for jobs that he is not interested in. That is my fairy tale anyway. It takes a lot energy and work applying for jobs. Plus not to mention lack of respect for our club.

 

FFS. It just gets better and better. Imagine being told they have gone for another manager, and then be contacted a few days later and offered the job because the preferred applicant had done a u-turn. His hearts not gonna really be in it knowing he was second choice!!!

Lets hope it's a state school, because he won't be able to pay school fees when his compensation runs out. That's lame, plenty of managers leave their families at home and partially relocate to new jobs. Ryan Lowe being a prime example.

That's my biggest fear now. I'll be honest I'm kind of hoping that we almost decide to write this season off, leave Trueman in charge whilst we get a DOF who can get a proper footballing strategy in place and then cherry pick our manager at the end of the season or if one comes available prior to that who can implement our strategy rather than the club changing direction again because the new manager thinks that we need to start from scratch again.

 

Absolutely. It's up there with the NIMBYS who want to stop the new terminal at LBA but knew the airport was there when they moved in. It's a cover story for him realising what a shitshow the club really is.

In any case what does it matter anyway. If the story is correct he initially accepted the job and the terms if we have been gazumped by a team higher up the league then so be it.
