I’ve asked this question before, - others have said it, but not said what the problem with the club is.

I dont disagree - we dont know who we want because those available are all shite.

I simply cannot believe folk were ready to accept Dean Holden. If we had/do appoint him - then I am pretty much done for this season.

Why ? They already have our money for this season. Boycotting games now and leaving a sparsely filled ground affects nothing and shows them what the rank & file think.

Why? We are in L2 and with that comes a big expectation, we are poorly placed in the north as well. We dont tick many boxes TBH.

I am absolutely certation we wont be short of applicants. Its just those out of work at the minute are all babba.

Poorly placed? Have a look at the list of Premier league and EFL clubs that are based in the north - some even further north than Bradford! It will blow your mind.

    Absolute rubbish.

I'm not talking about groups, who attend together, I'm talking about the friends I've made who sit in front and behind, and to the side etc. The people I don't see from one match day to another, have no idea where they live and in some cases don't even know their full names, or what they do for a living.

Do you think If I don't renew then come back the year after they are all going to move as well ? There are 20 people in my vicinity that have sat there as long as me, we greet each other with a handshake every match and have a bit of banter, but only three of us actually come as a group.

Its a nicety, being sat in such a group, not really a ‘problem’ as you said in the first reply.

if Rupp won’t budge, boycotts are the ONLY way he’ll change his stance - they hit his pocket and make his business model no longer sustainable.

Not after what I watched last night, having said that not one manager since Ferguson's day have been able to bring stability or success to the club.
As Bradford City fans we take any little success that comes out way as a bonus to watching our club not sure the faces we saw at the end of last night's game are getting through life if they'd had to put up with what we have over the decades.

It's not a nicety. It's part and parcel of attending. Knowing the people around you makes it easier to deal with long periods of tedious football, you just shut off and banter instead. It makes it more of a social event and less of a chore.

It sounds like you just sit on your own and don't interact with those around you.

For a L2 club, our placement will not be appealing too many. Lets not be silly and start comparing us to Man City and Liverpool etc.

Why not ? Ten miles from Leeds, access to direct trains and the M1 ? Liverpool is harder to get south from than Bradford, which is in the exact centre of the UK.

Liverpool pay x50 more than us. Lets not be silly now.

Attracting those from darn sarf is a hard sell at our level.

Very true, but the point wasn't people who were suitable for that job coming to us as manager, it was those who are suitable for our job not coming because Bradford is poorly placed geographically. Which it clearly isn't.

I wasn't but now you come to mention it, there's a club about 6 or seven miles down the road from Manchester that currently sit 5 points clear at the top of league 2 and about 8 northern based clubs ahead of us in the league table. It's a nonsense excuse and you know it is.

Agree but at the time the club weren't going to come out and say they preferred a new manager even though Stuart had taken us one step further than Phil Parkinson.
As I posted they didn't have the b*lls to sack him asking him to walk then they wouldn't have got pelters from fans, Stuart was aware he was on borrowed time, and although he had us in a play off position for most of his time the following season, that was only one aspect of that was happening behind the scenes.

I understand what you mean but my matchday experience and yours are very different!

I go with my brother and my three kids (when they can be arsed) so making chit chat with those around isn’t a big part of my matchday experience (appreciate that changes for the older fans and those who renew same seats every time) as young kids need constant attention.

Been going 30 years now and have had STs in the Midland Road, Kop, NW corner, Sunwin (with stints in the various bars in between) then back in NW corner currently so, as you can tell, to me, a seat is just a bit of plastic and I don’t think anything about moving about year to year.

I don’t really enjoy City tbh and haven’t for years. I just turn up through blind loyalty and sod off before the end. Not giving it up though as it’s respite from the wife and once you give them Saturday afternoons back they’ll have the kids enrolled in all sorts else and will never get that time back!!
