Nearly, reading some of the stuff about what Edin's wife earns, she takes a salary without a doubt, no one seems to know the exact amount hence the various amounts quoted in the thread.

 

That was kinda my point.... can have a direct go so they find something else to get upset about but cant/wont quantify...

 

Ricc has been hung out to dry here and now realises it hence the defensive " i dont have to justify myself to anyone" stance.
All he was asked is for a figure not to justify it.
In a way i dont blame him actually as to reveal any actual specific detail will more than likely reveal his source. If its mot fake news of course.
Cant wait for the next ITK grenade from him.

An interesting but shocking figure, is that, Fuzzy. Personally, as I see many games (on line) many Lge 1 players are worth about £30k at best, IMO. And how much time do these 'Sporting stars' spend at their work place ?

It would be interesting too, to get an 'average' income for supporters of a Club such as City ?
I know of many people who work their butts off 10 hours a day, and struggle to hit £20k per year. Add to that limited sick pay (IF you qualify !!!!!!), and only 20 (plus 8 stats) days holiday a year ..........

 

Ours, about twice as long as they did under Collins .

WE as supporters have and need to prove our worth to our employers daily. Perspective is one thing, but accepting what is not ethically right is another.

 

That's interesting Dennis, so if a player of average ability has 12 season at that sort of salary over his "short career" he'll earn £1.6m WOW.

 

And at the time of Andrew Davies some were quoting him to be our top earner at around £6k a week.

 

No, didn't spoil my breakfast - but I DO wish I had been more dedicated as a 19 year old player.
I am now forever pressing my eldest Grandson to push his talents to the max. But like any 13 year old - he wants to enjoy being a kid, too. I won't take that away from him.

 

Sorry that is pretty naïve from a business stance, and as employees you're right we do. However should my boss choose to employ his wife as a secretary in order to offset his own tax implications, she would never have to justify herself to anyone let alone me as a lowly pleb (or in this case fan), and tbh if I asked her to justify herself I'm sure I'd be down the road rather quickly. This kind of thing goes on country & business if not world wide (from the one man band 'employing' his Mrs 'to do the books' right up to the CEO who has his Mrs as a secretary.

Just because this happens to be a Football Club business as opposed to another business doesn't mean its run differently...

Or maybe another slant on this. Edin has taken a lot of cr*p from all fronts recently (not the thread for comment on just of this) maybe he feels he needs someone who can trust implicitly to look after his affairs without fear of them being leaked to the press.....

 

But would you employ an unqualified spouse, above all others ? And would you also pay an over average salary - subject to allegations, on here ?

I think not. It certainly doesn't sit easy with me.

 

Cant argue with your points I agree; however..... if you were in Edin position & could potentially save on the Tax you pay without doing anything illegal I think it would test the holier than thou stance (not a dig by the way just couldn't think of another way of wording it!) you have taken..... In fact Edin stance (if done for tax which as I said before there is no proof either way) is not illegal and im sure everyone on here has paid a tradesman cash or asked for the 'cash price' and that is illegal.....

Just saying I think people need to chill out...

Incidentally how do you know what Edin Mrs CV is like - you her friend on LinkedIn or something?
