Reffering to the meltdown, not losing.

You have a fair point but this way is a peaceful protest that WILL have an effect
If people don't go to the game it will create an eerie atmosphere at the ground they won't buy anything from the (overpriced) shop they won't buy programmes they won't buy food and drink and think of the images it will create when the "highlights" are shown a L1 match with a virtually empty stadium
Am not sure of the overall outcome but financially it would be a disaster

Good luck with opening "Channels" of communication we have no idea what's going on at our club and haven't since they took over and can't see that changing in the near future unless you class the DVD as a communication Highlited only last week with the Killa situation and soon to be again with NKP situation Even you have got to agree the fans no longer matter to them

All this talk of protests concern me.

Anybody who knows me either through this site, C&B or personally will know my feelings on these two ''owners". I would prefer them gone but what of potential new owners? Anyhow, I digress.

Now here is my take on the issue of a protest, not I believe mentioned once.

As @Bantamsteve@Bantamsteve stated above, I want a peaceful protest (if it actually occurs). My reason is very simple, their are youngsters who go to VP each week, some very young, whom shouldn't be aggrieved, frightened or fearful of attending the game thereof.

So yes peaceful but also tasteful with respect too.

I may get shot down, so be it but that is my concern.

Regardless of score everyone should leave on the 56th minute...

No. The past is not to be used for the 'benefit' of today or the future.

There are several reasons as well as the one you state. No matter how good the intentions are these things get ambushed by the hooligan element. And then the whole things gets labelled as football scum.
At big part of the crowd will turn against the protesters.
If people want change the only way to do that is to change the mindset of the guy who holds the purse strings.
E-Mail Rupp in a respectful way ask for meetings with representatives of the fans. May take time but it is the only way to change things

I might sound like a broken record but I am baffled by how people are failing to see the power of an empty stadium. Imagine how Rahic will feel at 2.55 with nothing but empty seats. It'll be like a punch to the gut. A load of angry protests will only be matched with scorn and indifference.

That would be a great idea IF the gates were actually open at that time.

Probably would but nevertheless as an adult, I have an option if I protest.

A few years ago Swansea were away v Valencia at the Mestalla, I was watching on TV when the Valencia fans just walked out, in protest against peter Lim their owner. It certainly had an impact! They congregated on the concourses and came back after a period.

Mine and my family’s seats will be empty for the Charlton game. Unless something drastic happens then we aren’t bothering.

What a joke of a post. 56 being made a brand or just a number again.

I’ve had my suspicions before and I think that’s confirmed you’re not really a city fan.

I agree with you about our terrible tragedy, but please don’t accuse ppl of not being a fan because they are desperately searching for a way to convey their concern, anger and frustrations. You don’t feel that way, so it is difficult for you to judge!

I’m accusing that particular poster as a fan due to his history of posting, not just from this one post (which has confirmed my suspicions).

Bringing the 56 into this debate is very tasteless and I’m not sure any real City fan would do it.

If people want to protest, so be it, but suggesting to do it on the 56th minute is absurd.

I remember seeing that and would be willing to do something similar. The only problem I see would be in getting enough fellow fans to do the same. We’d need a few thousand leaflets to be handed out in each stand with a message like “are you concerned at the way our club is being destroyed by Edin? Then please join our protest by leaving your seat in xx minute and congregating in the concourse for 10 minutes before returning to your seat”
