Looking like Potter, good move for him. He’ll be sacked in a year or two but has chance at some silverware which he’d never get at Brighton and a huge pay increase. Plus he’ll have an elite club on his CV which will help down the line.
I’m hoping he’s the next England manager.

I know Aubamayang is a disruptive influence, but that was quick!

I think they need someone who ‘knows football’!
For Germanic continuity perhaps…..just perhaps a ‘Director of Football’.
Step forward………big drum roll here……….Edin Rahic.

Shame Potter took the job as it seems like a poisoned chalice. Expectations at Brighton are next to nothing, he needed a stepping stone before one of the top teams as it really is a whole different situation not just in expectations from everyone but also the players you are working with, the kind of player Brighton will pick up will generally not be handled the same way as most of the players at a top team so its a massive jump
There is also the issue of the owner. Boehly has had plenty of time to work on getting a DoF in but he hasn't seemed to have made any attempt. Being that hands-on is actually fairly normal in American sports but owners of American sports generally have a real interest and understanding of the sport of the team they buy when they do that. For example, the Glazers at Tampa Bay Buccs are fairly hands-on, Joel especially but for all the negatives you can throw at their ownership of Man Utd they have been hands-off on football matters. Boehly seems however to be bringing the American way to Football and he wants to be hands-on but its like he is pulling his knowledge from playing Football Manager and doing that mistake people always make in FM when they have lots of money to spend and just throw it around. And we have already seen if you aren't winning every game he will blame the manager and not his own recruitment and get rid of the manager. Potter may be ok until Feb but when Boehly spends tens or hundreds more in Jan to buys big name players for the way Potter wants to play and he doesn't win the next 6-10 games I worry for himStop hovering to collapse... Brendan Rodgers is probably shorter odds to be the Chelsea manager in October than he is to be Leicester manager.
I'd say it is some achievement at present for Brendan Rodgers, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard to have outlasted two premier league managers so far. -

Appreciate Tuchel won the CL but he was utterly hopeless in the transfer market.
Sold Tomori and Abraham and paid some horrendously high fees for absolute flops or average players.
