I agree that business needs to be pro-active to succeed, I was part of one but Alexander?. Do you mean the same who was sacked at Fleetwood, sacked at Scunny and sacked at Salford and before that didn't last long coaching PNE youth. There is a thread here and certainly something went badly wrong at Salford given his (and his deputy's) abrupt departure.

 

If Zelli gets on for last 20, I hope McCall still has some subs left, he'll need one for last 15 mins.

There we go. We have been down that route before the next time we appoint a new manager let’s do it right with no preconceived ideas. Speak to as many people as possible to find the right one

He wasn't sacked at Motherwell he resigned. At the time their executive described him as one of the most successful managers in their 128 year history. In 2013 he was awarded the SPL manager of the year.

 

He got Fleetwood into the league as well.As you say,many successful managers have been sacked at some time,it's how they build their pension pots.

 

Salford, Fleetwood and (to a lesser extent) Scunthorpe...a bit of a common theme here, would suggest he is a cheque book manager, so no thanks.

 

Pretty sure we'll see French, Samuels and DMH start on Tuesday and if anyone deserves a rest, it has to be Wood so I fully expect Longridge to get a start as well.

 

I really hope Stuart and the team get 3 wins from these games, it’ll really help boost morale.

Not a chance he's not a charity you know and he doesn't do things on the cheap

 

It’s the mistake we keep making Bowyer looked a great candidate he took a basket case club at the time to promotion at the first attempt and the Blackpool fans like him. But he didn’t do it here. If he wants this job when it’s available then of course he should apply and be interviewed along with the other serious interested candidates along with others who may not apply who might do a good job. In other words we should do what successful businesses do and find the best person for the job not necessary someone who is available
