    A new commercial agreement has been agreed with West Midlands based Allendale seating which will include the company replacing the tired looking seats in the stadium.

    I also understand that new dug outs are to be installed in the few weeks, including heated seats for the home bench. JCT and SEAT are believed to be funding this.

    It's good to see that we have still been able to attract sponsorship and advertising during these troubled times

    On a slightly related note, what happened to that deal we struck to build a tunnel? Wasn't it supposed to be unveiled 'in the coming weeks'?

    Not heard anything about the tunnel, but the new dug-out have been signed off for the work to commence in the coming few weeks

    Does gibb just lease the land/ground.

    Thought as landlord he would be liable for upkeep costs.

    I'm guessing we own the seats and fittings still then.

    Will the replacing of the seating in the dug out area mean we lose seating at the front of the main stand behind the dug outs ?.

    It never looked right when the main stand was redeveloped all crushed into two small dug outs.

    Good it doesn’t seem like much but I’m actually happy we’re getting new dugouts, we have a stadium that wouldn’t look out of place in the top 2 flights then some grubby little Sunday league style benches. Heated as well the players will be a bit to pampered at this rate.

    The commercial leases I have been involved with, which is not many I admit, have had the tenant responsible for maintenance of the property. It is I think the standard for commercial leases.

    Those dugouts have been an embarrassment for years, surprised players didn't end up with strains and the like sat on those benches.

    The reason I asked was I know the couple who have (had) two seats directly behind the home dug out next to the aisle, and said sometimes the banter was better than the game, especially when the likes of Evan's and "call me winner" Graham Westley came to Valleg Parade.

    City are responsible for upkeep of the stadium. They do work maintenance work every year bit upgrade is different.
