Apart from the bit where he said he's concious not to ram down people's throats about where he's been - yet preceeding this his interview reponse does that very thing - I'm quite enthused by him.

A lot of what he says resonates with me due to the nature of my work. His focus and recognition of the role of the club and wider impact it can have is spot on. I hope he is able to deliver on his objectives as it can only be good for anyone associated with the club and the city.

Sod beggars can't be choosers. He's a marquee signing with that CV. We're a provincial 4th division club. Not Real Madrid. We should count our blessings. Now this bloke does know football.
Reading the article its only Simon Parker who makes reference to his previous three clubs.
What he does say is that he has previous experience of a club in a bit of mess when he was in Italy. I didn't get an ego from this interview. Just a fan passionate about making this club succesfull.

My beggars cant be choosers comment was more that maybe David Garth isn't charging "his club" full wack for his services ?.

 

I too found some of that condescending. 13000 season tickets is a terrific response after the last 18 months or so. I am afraid that the club under Rahic alienated a lot of fans, and it will take a good season now on the pitch for some of the 'missing fans' to return.

 

Probably as least a condescending person as you could meet. He knows the business of football inside out and also knows that for the long term future of this club it has to appeal to the whole of the Bradford community and just as important the business community. His hardest part will be changing the mindset of the Bradford public toward its football club. The big positive we have at the club now is people in influential positions that have the club at heart and have a passion for this club. People like Bowyer and Garth know what it takes to move this club forward. The sort of people Rupp needs to listen to.
