Whereas the back of Newcastle’s shirt looks ok, I have a big issue with the front. I keep thinking everyone is number 4!

 

I hate the white kit for home matches. OK with it at away matches, but it's claret & amber for me at home everytime. It's an identity, and you wouldnt get Virgin painting their trains blue would you ?

 

We've just made our first signing of the summer and been exposed to our new training gear for next year. Our CEO has alluded on Twitter its due to you guys coming into the Macron stable.

The results were published here. The suggestion was that around 5,000 completed the survey so a sizeable sample size.

A few key highlights in relation to the boar discussion:

• 90% said the Bantam should remain on the crest.
• Unclear on the graph, but when asked "Which animal most represents the club?", over 95% said Bantam and less than 5% said Boar.

In relation to what the survey might lead to, I'm paraphrasing but Sparks mentioned on his latest Radio Leeds interview that it was a helpful exercise so the club could consider how to approach modernisation. He mentioned that the current design of the badge provides complications in a few different areas - presumably this came up when speaking to new kit providers as well as the club trying to adapt digitally.

 

There you go, back to stripes.

 

Bloody excellent! A proper City kit. None of that white shite.

As some have said, the shirt is reminiscent of the mid 90s Diamond Seal kit we won the Wembley playoff in. This is a good thing.

I particularly like that the stripes go all the way round the back. I hate those big stupid panels that completely wreck the look.

Well done City and Macron. A great start to the relationship.

 

Recall the little shop at the back of the Old main stand before 11.5.85 where you could by programmes and other merch. You couldn't swing a cat round in there.

I wish they would stick with claret and amber stripes in one form or other and never select a white home kit again.

 

It was a good marketing ploy from Sparks who I expect knew there would be a change of kit supplier. Going white this season gives a new supplier the chance to go back to claret and amber and stripes if they wish. I think the white kit has been a nice change.

Crikey he works fast. Only just ousted by the French and now he is making football kits.

Absolutely not.
We are known around the world from our PL, History Makers and Chelski Slaying seasons as the club in claret and amber stripes. It's become our USP. It's madness to throw that away for boring white.

And yes, I know we wore hoops rather than stripes in 2013 but that doesn't materially alter the point.

 

I do like these very much, however I wish there was a fan version which removes the solid panel on the back.

It looks ok with a name and number, however when blank it looks ridiculous especially with a bit of striped detail below it

 

Jeez.... There's far more things to worry about in all honesty.

 

Surely the club carrying out due diligence on the people , manufacturing warehouse and offices of the company we are signing a 6 year deal with is good business sense
