    Thomas Tuchel has reportedly agreed to take on the job. Certainly a better hire than Carsley for me. As soon as it was obvious they weren't getting Eddie Howe, they were always going foreign for me, as the next level down from Howe for English managers just aren't ready.

    Although that first rendition of 12 German Bombers might be a tad awkward....

    Great appointment and don't agree with the nonsense that it had to be an English manager.

    We needed to appoint the best coach we could possibly do and he has a good record.

    Hopefully he instils the German winning mentality to the squad.

    His record hardly fills me with a massive amount of hope. His league titles were hardly won in an impressive manner considering the clubs he won them with, you would have expected much more dominance.

    The only thing personally I'm hanging on is club and international management is different, Southgate did way better for England than his club management suggested was possible so maybe the elements that often seem to be his undoing at club level might be less of an issue and maybe his positives can be just what England need to go a step further

    I was hoping Carsley had the chops to step up from being a U21 winner but he really messed up his chance,even after the Greece "experiment" he played TAA at left back(like you do) and quoted he doesn't get fixated on positions in the team and if your coach doesn't pay attention then your players are going to follow suit.
    Carsley back with the U21 to bring through some more exciting talent and win trophies to push our current superstars all the way.
    Bet the Man Citeh fans were gutted not to have beaten Chelsea in the champo league final,

    Glad we didn't go for MacLar... sorry I mean Carsley. An unexpected appointment but he deserves a fair crack of the whip, I couldn't care less about nationality and find it bizarre people do.
