I can't remember the 56 minute applause before, up until this season we have our minutes silence before the game and paid our respects, I'm with you I was taken a little aback when the applause started on the 56 minute.
It took a while for fans around to understand what the was happening, the majority then realising stood and applauded, I have to say I did neither, I'd paid my respects pre-match, and today's service at the Memorial Statue in town, we all see things differently.

Thank you to those of you who went to represent those of us who were too far away to go or couldn't make it.

We were with you in our thoughts.

RIP the 56, also thinking of all those injured on the day itself, either physically or mentally, I say it every year, but it only seems like yesterday.

It was a very emotional service this morning, I thought the lament sung by, I think, a Rabbi was extremely moving, it was good to see so many young people there today, it ensures the 56 will be remembered for years to come.

Good that players were there even if it was the first time that some of them have turned up this year. Good to see young Luke as I am sure it will have been his choice.

This '56' thing. Used like a trademark now. Stuck on hoodies and t shirts. Not my thing.

Saw Scannell and Reeves didn't see Wright , most of contracted players seemed to be present plus a couple of the released one's Clarke and Wilson

Each to their own but the branding of ‘The 56’ used by the club today, the hoodies, the minutes applause. It’s not right to me. I’ve even seen #The56 on Twitter. We’re better than this, we don’t need to compete for attention, complaining about being the forgotten tragedy. It’s not and never will be forgotten by those in and from Bradford and that’s what matters. I think the dignified and quiet reflection of years gone by is more appropriate.

I feel uncomfortable with the applause in the 56th minute, also dont like the hoodies which almost feels like we are branding the 56 poor souls who perished.

The minutes silence at the last home game, and the service in Centenary Square, which are impeccably observed, is the way we should continue to remember them.

Agree with the above statements, it doesn’t sit right with me seeing people walking around with ‘56’ on their clothing.

It’s almost like promoting the fact 56 lives were lost. I’m sure the intentions are sincere but it can come across as quite tasteless and unnecessary.

Good to see so many people in Bradford yesterday, I supposed it helped being Saturday, Bradford will never forget those 56 souls, I Thank God that me and my family were some of the lucky ones to get out of the stand reasonably unscathed , but there's never a game at VP that goes by, when I don't think about those poor people that just went to watch a football match, and never came home REST IN PEACE!
