It’s the job losses involved which is far an away more important than club sponsorship.

 

It is they have been both friends of the club and as you say sponsored us for many years, but as @Kevin1954 say it's the number of jobs they will lose in these grim times.

 

I think they do a lot of maintenance work for the club in exchange for the sponsorship, could be wrong though

 

As you say in the past they did a lot of work at the club even during the Rahic days when he was never satisfied with the quote because most were Bradford City fans he thought they would do it even cheaper.

 

As Kevin says the most important bit of this is the potential job losses and even if jobs can be saved there are people who were due to be paid on Friday that weren't so now they will have bills to pay with no wage coming in until the company can be bought or they can claim the money from the government.
With the not renewing their back of shirt deal you wonder if this has been coming a while and they couldn't turn things around.

 

Just got off the phone to a fellow City fan who has done building work in the past for Steve Mitton I asked how many worked for Mitton's apparently at one time they employed upward of 400 up and down the country, he also mentioned your above comment with regards staff not getting paid.

 

This is very sad. I feel for everyone involved. Worrying about getting paid is something they could well do without.

 

Most will probably be employed by the new Company registered by Directors a couple of days previous to Admin

 

just be will they get their back pay

 

It’s possible, but there’s also a danger they will be “ rehired” on basic terms. Difficult times for the workforce and their families.

 

Yes I've just seen that - pre-pack coming? In the last year Mittons lost the Morrisons contract so unfortunately I think it's unlikely that most will be re-employed by the new operation. That said I believe some had already been TUPE'd to other companies. A lot of City fans amongst the staff too.

 

Sad for the employees who will get any monies due via the government
Pennies in the pound not helpful to creditors tho

 

Sadly just been informed it won't even be pennies to unsecured creditors
