    Don't know how many of you guys/gals knew Mick, I worked with him at AE Turbines for many years, a true gentleman and devoted Bradford City fan a regular on the Shipley Bantams Coaches.

    Yes he'll be missed on Shipley Bantams away days. Mick used to be a race walker and represented GB at the Commonwealth games many years sgo. He had to give up race walking in the 1970s when he developed Type 1 diabetes. Lovely man.

    The first away game in the Premier was as you will know at Middlesbrough Mick sat next to me, as we pulled into the coach park he asked if I would stand in the isle whilst he injected himself, some of the looks we got from other fans were quite amusing when he said don't worry guys it's only my insulin.
    He was also massively into collecting Bradford City programmes and just had the odd ones missing from years of collecting, as you say a lovely guy.

    Known him for about 55 years in which time he lived in Baildon. Don't know where he was before then. Always a good lad, RIP Micky.

    I can picture him now doing the Bradford Whit walk with his dad. A skinny teenager with a wiggle any lady would have been proud of.

    My dad knew him from his race walking days, he was telling me mick was one of the first people in Britain to trail the diabetes epi pens.

    Although I was originally from Baildon before I left for Uni, our paths never crossed. I left a very long time ago. Sounds as though he was a tremendous bloke. So sad to lose a good guy!
