Good luck.
This club is done without new ownership. It may very well need a relegation for us to see the change needed.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Rudie, ModernBantam, Fordy117 and 6 others like this. -
I completely disagree with those thinking relegation is an idea. The National League is red hot these days. We could be ten years coming back up.
boycott buying STs in the summer, then he’ll sell.
our FL status is one of the ONLY assets we have given we don’t own the ground or many players with saleable value.
Relegation is NEVER a good option for us.ahar964, simons (woking bantam), Onside and 6 others like this. -

Relegation will certainly bring more problems though, less revenue overall for the club. If we stick with these players they'll certainly struggle in the league below. Recruitment of newer players will be poorer too. Overall I think we'd struggle down below and possibly end up playing local derby matches against BPA in the National League North.
At the same time though, if we drop down, Rupp's investment will be pretty much finished. He's taking a gamble keeping the club on. He's better selling it at a loss right now, otherwise his investment really is in trouble if we drop down. After we've paid Adam's off, that's our transfer budget cut for next season too. We'll just continue to loan rejects from other clubs who make little to no difference.
We continue to be around £3.5m mark for overall market value since we dropped out of League One. If I were you Rupp I'd just sell us for a few million if you can find a buyer for that price and cut your losses. You'll never get £10m for Bradford City as long as you are the owner. Sure, Rupp has had money out of the club though. I'm still in the belief that he'll let us be a doldrums League Two team until he's generated enough money through ST sales and merchandise to claw back as much as he can. With that thinking in mind, makes me think a nice hard relegation is what is needed to get rid of this guy ahahaha.
We really are between a rock and a hard place because if we continue to support the club financially with the ST sales and merchandise, we continue to put money in Rupp's pocket and he'll let us sit in League Two for years to come to be honest until he has his investment back. Take the 4th shirt for the 1903 club for example, it's just a ploy to get more money in for the club, it's business and Rupp is a business man. He's doing what he can to get money back on his investment, he couldn't care less about promotion because I think he's already given up on trying to get a plan to get us out of this league.
Marketing is a powerful tool and the next step will probably be to bring back the cheap £150 season tickets next season to keep the sales of season ticket numbers up.
If we actually do pull together and do a major boycott and get relegated, we could end up losing Valley Parade in the process.
So many things can potentially go wrong for our club now, we might be destined to be a mid-table League Two team for many years too come unfortunately.
Our clubs value from dropping out of the football league would probably look more like what Notts County's estimated value is right now:
Overall, a relegation battle might be what's needed into scaring Rupp to sell the club at a loss, if you're reading this Rupp, take a look at the figures above, you are risking your own investment staying here, because if we do end up fighting for survival in the football league, you'll be out of pocket and that's not smart business.
Mind you if you are reading this Rupp, you know I probably have you sussed like a majority of the fanbase do, you're here to make money on us, we are your cash cow and you'd won't set us free anytime soon.
Sparks is just your puppet Rupp, he's your man in England to market and make money out of the club, it's as simple as that.
Unless Rupp is actually willing to put more money in and bring in people that actually know football and can give us a long term plan, this club is doomed to either League 2 lower end of the mid-table / relegation after relegation battle.
So yeah, it's the nuclear option, but maybe relegation is the best way out of this?
I simply don't know.
I do know one thing though....I WANT RUPP OUT OF THIS CLUB! I want someone who knows football and has a passion for the beautiful game and the history and culture of our sport. Rupp isn't passionate about Bradford City, if he was he'd be in Bradford a lot more showing his face.
If I owned Bradford City I'd work my arse off everyday and live next to the club. I'd bring in people who know football who I can work with and together form a long term plan with a big massive investment. But I never seem to win the Euromillions.
Next step, they'll bring in Evans and hope it pays off, if it doesn't... then get ready for none league football in a couple of years folks.
Here is me hoping it all works out and we still somehow scrape the playoffs this season.BingleyBantam, ModernBantam, Onside and 2 others like this. -

Only hope is to some how get through to him that fans won’t accept him at this club any longer through protests or boycotts, those who say it doesn’t work neither Adams or Bowyer would have been sacked if fans weren’t so against them yet the same fans have never shown anything against Rupp, he probably doesn’t even realise fans want him out.
If Rupp doesn’t sell though I still want us to be successful, I just don’t see it happening.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...borderlescott, Onside and bantamdave41 like this. -

Rupp's not interested in football, can't we just ask him in a nice way if he would like to let go for a fair price to any potential takers. Does anyone know how much he paid for the club and how much he would want, i wish we had never see'n him, what a disaster the day City was sold to him.

I think the only thing Rupp cares about is his image
The last time we heard from him, which was probably for the first team in a year, it was after WAGMIs interest in us hinted to him being untruthful. He then tried to sue them and had to let us know all about it and pandered to us with his custodian/hero PR act.
I think bad PR will make him sell. He can't brag about owning a football club if his mates ask him "but don't they hate you?". I think our disdain for our owner needs to be common knowledge among fans in England at least, sort of like how you knew Blackpool hated theirs.
I think if we manufactured a scenario where he's actually a hero for selling the club then he'd do it.
I don't think he's a terrible person like Oyston was, I just think he's a terrible owner and the most ethical thing for him to do us to stop keeping us hostage from those who actually have interest in us.Stop hovering to collapse...
