He’s hardly shored up Barnet’s defence so I’d say you’re being very kind to him. Didn’t realise Xander McBurnie was at Barnet though

This guy is making a direct comparison : "Chris Waddle is the best midfielder and most talented midfielder to play for Bradford City.. after that John Hendrie" doesn't come much plainer.

And he was still the best midfielder on the pitch. Plus Gazza still had a lot to do and you won't find anyone speak more of McCall than Gazza.

In a 20+ game spell, during a period when McCall didn't play for the club. Take into consideration the time he had away from the club at Everton and Rangers (11years) and was still a very good player in his mid thirties, giving a good account of himself even in the Premier League. At his peak Chrissy Waddle was a very good player (at Newcastle and Spurs). I would argue that in his time at Valley Parade Peter Beagrie had more of an impact.

BRE wasn't even a very good clogger. Did you see how easily be was brushed aside by Danny Rose when he scored against us for Oldham?

I agree with regards who offered more I would say the likes of McCall & Garry Jones did, with the little magician and Waddle up to a point you never knew what was coming I sure their fellow team mates didn't, oh for a driving forse like Stuart or Garry J in our present team.

You could be right I know it was said as I understood it was Waddle who said it, but it does not detract from the great skill that went into scoring that goal, another magical memory from the past.

I agree. What T&S have done is combined what McCall liked to do with a quick passing forward play but they have done what Stuart seemed reluctant to do. They have gone to a back four and with that made us more compact when we aren't in possession. A good example of that is FCD who apart from a few shaky moments has been developing because he has usually had Billy Clarke tracking back when we haven't got the ball.

I agree with you. Firstly, even with everyone fit, I doubt he would have been able to ditch his three at the back and secondly I seriously doubt that some of the players we have signed would have come under McCall to be involved in a massive relegation scrap. Under him, heads went down when we conceded, I'm sure we would have lost to Southend, Barrow & Morecambe with him in charge. His plan B was stick BRE upfront.

He had no vision to play AOC at RB, something T&S have seen and made to work, and he was ruining Wood as a wingback.

Sorry Stuart, you are the ultimate legend as a player, but I never want to see you on the home bench as first team manager. Please do what you do best and stick to being the go between man between players and manager.

Are you on the bottle as well? , McCalls team selection and tactics were woeful, Despite 3 at the back failing him he persisted with it, His inability to see that changes were needed cost him his job, He would have taken us down no matter what he says

What is he on ? What a deluded, we’d have been bottom if he’d stayed on.. Glad Sparks had the balls to sack him,

McCalls last era was similar to Dochertys, crap football, clueless tacfics.. He’d lost the dressing room and admitted in his last interview vs oldham that he’d be much better off had he not managed the club!

Mate, we should have sacked him straight after the fans forum. I warned everyone then that McCall wasn't the man to take us forward.
