    Well he mascaraded as a footballer why not a manager

    He was a really good footballer before his career threatening injury and even then he wasn’t that bad for us

    I still maintain at the time his composure was vital. There were several games where we could have got buried and I believe it was him and Jones, who saved us from disaster

    I remember him been very impressive against the then very good Bristol City front pair

    No he didn't. For instance, when we played Bristol City, he kept the impressive Baldock quiet for the 90 minutes. I think you forget just how exposed our defence was in those times. He wasn't fantastic, but he was a good experienced loan quite right for what we needed to get us through - a sticking plaster solution when we could have no-one else

    He was awful. It was like he forgot how to play. When to come close, when to stand off, when to commit... He got it wrong every time.

    He was marginally better than both Zesh Rehman and Jason Gavin. That's about the most positive spin I can put on it.
