I couldn’t believe it , he was looking straight at it, shirt nearly pulled off his back, arms around him pulling him!’

 

Wasn't sure myself at the time, would like to see it again.

He was clear all game he wouldn't give one for nothing. Booked a few of Charlton players for diving

 

The worst sort of ref - the one who thinks we’ve all turned up to watch him. Gave all sorts of minor free kicks, usuallly Charltons way but bottled the big decision.

Not the reason we lost though.

 

Funny, the Charlton fans also thought he was poor. His bad handling of the game started early when he gave a booking for nothing and that set the tone for his incompetence. Didn't effect the result though, we would have to create goal scoring opportunities to do that.

 

But he did possibly effect the result. If he had given that nailed on penalty, and we had have scored to level, I don't think we would have gone on and lost. We were enjoying our best patch of the game and the impetus a goal would have given us at that stage would have been huge

 

It was a shocking descisions but have to say good calls on both the dives in the area by charlton players
