Yes I agree as a kid we lived next door to Bradford Moor park and after school it was a 2/3 hour game of football, lads would go missing for 30 minutes of so for their tea then return to finish the game, and then school/Sunday league football ETC.
The great thing for Mason is if he stays dedicated as the likes of Clayton Blackmore are saying he has a very bright future ahead and all that comes with being a Premiership footballer.

 

My nephew was 7 when scouted by a Lancs team. Still there at 14, got a scholarship along with two other kids in his age group, which means he's away from home and staying with a family near the academy 3 nights a week.

They're told that only 1% of all the kids in the academy go on to play professionally. I think they can scout within an hour's drive away from their home ground, which unfortunately puts Bradford kids in range of a lot of clubs.

It still rankles that he's been taken away to the red rose county, but if he's going to get a decent education out of it, if nowt else, then it's been worthwhile. There's no way that his parents could've afforded the fees that the school charges.
