Not sure if Damian Irvine was sacked he has done a good job there and everywhere he has been

 

Not if you include going full edin rahic ( who became mates with) and trying to sign players without a managers knowledge, signing players even when the manager said no (that said player is now their manager), failing to negotiate contracts in a timely manner ensuring players left in the summer. Then they had the selling of the goalkeeper in January again against the managers wishes causing a fall out which meant other players left which then in turn meant the side dropping from 1st to 8th before sneaking into players.
He was a marmite figure alienating half the fanbase and causing unrest depending on which side of the camp you fell on. He was Using avenue resources for bradford bulls gain, it was a joint operation which ended up too far one way, changing the club back to its original colours against fans wishes who had become accustomed to the green, and finally bad mouthing volunteers at the city friendly in earshot of the owner.

Other than that he did alright especially with the links to the university and extra sponsorship brought in.

 

I wasn’t aware of that but I know he has done a good job at sporting clubs in the past

 

Funny you should mention that when I saw the strip they played us in last week I thought it was their colours from years ago, during my time I've seen them in various Green & White but believed that Red,Yellow & Black were their original colours ?.

It was their colors mid to late 60s right up to the point they lost league status

 

What a great start to the season BPA have had. First two games played, both lost 5 - 0. I feel a bit for Gary Thompson but I've heard rumblings there's something dodgy going on in the club. I don't understand why they have got rid of a manager and a squad that have over performed over the last two seasons and started over?!

 

After Thompson's sacking, Gary Bowyer has offered him the chance to train with City and do some coaching with the strikers.

I am pleased about that, sacking him 2 games in, are they mad!!

 

I can only recall seeing Avenue in the colours they are wearing now, from the few Derby matches from my childhood days. Dont know when they changed to Green, and why?
