So they had a little spell of form. Ultimately he led them to a relegation battle with their biggest budget in years and then got sacked. Then he got our u18s relegated. Get a grip man! Thank the lord that most fans don’t think like you. There are no positives if he’s appointed. People will turn against Edin in their droves and he needs to remember that one of the most important parts of his model is keeping the fans onside.

Would you be worried if Drury was appointed? Genuine question.

 

I will be worried whoever is appointed until I see how they do. I was very worried like a lot of others when Stuart was reappointed after his first spell and apparently the club got a lot of letters saying the same thing. Someone mentioned Terry Dolan the other day I was really worried when they appointed him and he nearly got us into the then first division after apparently impressing the board with a written essay about how he was going to set about doing the job. I am pleased the board are taking their time and speaking to a lot of people

 

I don’t see it as bullying, he puts himself out there and gives as good as he gets. Half of me thinks he’s winding us up anyway.

 

To be fair appointing someone like Martin Drury would be a similar move to Massimo Cellino signing David Hockaday, the difference being money was no object to Cellino.

 

He'll probably be on a zero hours contract if offered the job.

To be honest @Bronco if they put drury in charge you can changed those odds for relegation to 1/6 and Edin and his silent partner will be in for a shock. They think they got a rough ride this season I dread to think what might happen during the next season.

Edin needs to be very careful. His interview the other day had an undertone of “my way or the highway”. Yes he is the man who has invested financially and he can do what he wants but his model needs the fans onside more than any other and he would do well to remember that when making decisions. We are emotionally invested too and won’t go quietly if at all.

The bookies are having a right laugh giving odds on various candidates. Like taking candy from a baby. As one poster has already said, save your money until an appointment has been made and then consider if we're destined for the drop.
