Ha ha ha Bradford CIty in div 2 think they are bigger than Cardiff in the Championship who own nothing ha ha

Some of you need to get real ! Big boys talk. What you been smoking @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler @Tingleyb@Tingleyb and the rest of the jokers.

Hughes won’t be going because he won’t get the job not because they are not bigger but offered the chance he jumps at it and rightly so.

    No we are not though!

    You’re living in dreamland.

Bournemouth are about to be brought for 150m.

What is the value of Bradford City who own shite?

So you associate the size of a club with how much money they have?
That must mean Salford, Wrexham and Fleetwood are bigger clubs than us?

That shows they are a small club, every club in the PL gets more than that per season so it’s equivalent of us being bought out for less than a year’s turnover. They are going for that price because of their PL status, not club size or assets.

Not that I give a shit about club size, I’d naturally swap positions with them or Cardiff in a heartbeat.

The Bournemouth comparison is interesting. The post code has around 400,00 population and it's pretty much within a 10-15 mile radius. Without a rich owner where would they be? Our population covers an area that can take hours to get to and our local population isn't as affluent as Dorset that's for sure

Doesn’t matter where would they be. Bournemouth are a PL club.

Bradford is a City in which the people allow companies, council and the football take the piss when it comes to developing the area.

Rupp certainly it has no interest in moving the club forward and we won’t ever get 150m take over offers because we own SHITE!

We have a fan base that’s it and now fans are getting ripped off with loyalty schemes and other nonsense. You can’t buy loyalty!

You talk SHITE. A business is worthless without its customer base no matter what assets it has.

There's been plans to develop Odsal since I was at school and that's a while ago. 20 million sounds alot but to develop what they are describing would cost more than that it would be more like a budget world class facility.

When he goes, we need to be prepared and to that end, the return of the prodigal son is the only answer. Bring back El Del, you know it makes sense! (Well almost as much as Hughes to Cardiff).

I'm hoping the quoted money is from the government (although as you say ultimatly the tax player) and nothing involves Bradford Council money council tax ETC.

Bradford Council are responsible for identifying in the first instance and then promoting the options as a means of allocating the funding on “ grand schemes” . The funds were removed from local control by the same Government who are then giving it back again making it look like a “present”. It’s all smoke and mirrors Dave using taxpayer funds. That’s how “levelling up “ works I believe.

I've posted this a few weeks ago....It's the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) in essence....It's a replacement to the European Structure and Investment Fund and European Social Fund (i.e. money from the EU) for projects to bid for....only it's about a third of the value of ESIF and ESF money.....

I think Hughes will stick around for this season at least. In order to have a better chance of keeping him, we need to improve facilities outside of the stadium. What the Cardiffs et al will have are first class training complexes which unfortunately we don't. Hughes hasn't really experienced a bad winter at Apperley Bridge where he can't get on the grass for weeks on end. If we can show some intention to improve in this area, it might go a long way to convincing him to stay for the long haul.

It will also depend on what investment we put into the team should we get promoted. Looking at this seasons squad I'd imagine it's top end of the budget league. If he wants to assemble an equally strong squad for next season, in the hope of getting to the championship, its going to cost a hell of lot more than we've spent this year. If he's not supported will he still have that hunger? He'll probably want to manage as high as he can as quickly as he can, so we need to match his ambition.
