He could always pack in his multi-million pound a year gig and take the democratic route and stand as an MP, he'll then find out if hard working folk are willing to fork out even more for other folks kids.....
I do like him as a footballer though..

 

The 'country' has no money, currently trillions in debt, what's wrong with folk taking a little responsibility for their own circumstances,benefits are available for those that need them then it's up to the individual to prioritise...

 

Not knocking Rashford at all but local councils were given extra money just for that purpose to provide free school meals in the summer

 

You make a good point Park. Rashfords efforts during this pandemic are to be admired but he's now finding out what the mukry world of politics is about. I wish it worked the way Rashford is thinking but unfortunately central and local governments spend far too much time trying to do each other over.

 

The councils have been well funded during this epidemic. With the extra they are getting they should be in a position to meetthe cost. The public purse is not a bottomless pit. I do agree with Rashford in fact I think it should happen every year for the very poorest I think it should come locally

Yeah, damn this free spending far right wing tory government...

 

With me it's just how much of this 'free' money actually gets to the kids though ?
The balance between state help and personal responsibility is getting wider.....
