Actually just looked back through my time watching. Can only say the managers who've been a success are McFarland (then he buggered off to Derby) Trevor Cherry, Terry Dolan for that 87/88 season, Kamara for his Wembley win, Jewell until being ruthlessly discarded by BFG, Parkinson and then one nearly season of Stuart (damn how much I wish he'd succeeded). And for all those only Jewell, Cherry and Parky really stand out in my head ( Parky gave the club it's soul back).
Not much to show for over 40 years of watching this damned sport.

It doesnt matter how many signings we make. When 2 key players are missing it matters especially against a top side in the division.

Yesterday wasnt a good result. It was an acceptable result.

Fans like you dont go to games and support the team. They read match reports and then moan on here as nothing better to do. Anyway scouse, Pool vs Villa soon...

I'm not sure after 6 games it can be classed as failing, both teams had their better players out, we got a point I know who will be the happier of the two managers, never a classic but how many league two games are.

Did you honestly think he would have us playing high energy attractive football
He can't/won't do it if you thought he would /could change then look at the 2 Carlisle play off matches he effectively condemned us to at least another 2 seasons of L2 dross The players we have aren't good enough and on long contracts
If his name was anything other than Mark Hughes those on here willing to give him more time (for the sake of consistency) would be calling time
Our style of play is dull boring negative and put bluntly crap
Nothing will change till we have someone (a football man) who the manager is responsible to
At the moment MH has no one to challenge him or his negative boring football

Tbh Bronco, pretty much all of my comments at this point are a reflection of how I see the period under Hughes as a whole, rather than a single game or the start to this season alone.

Just out of curiosity how many Mansfield players in your opinion got above 5 yesterday, no I didn't go but watched the game on TV, it wasn't a classic as most games have not been so far this season, let's wait until we have played enough games to offer any sort of balanced opinion not after 6 games in.
I disagree "If this is the settlement of our fans then it’s a sad state of affairs" I do however believe a draw at Mansfield is not the end of the world.

Apologies offy, I genuinely can't remember it.

He had a header that was going well wide and the keeper for some reason put it out for a corner but that was about 12 yards out I think and only looked like a half chance at best.

I was on shift though so wasn't giving it my full attention, that's why I looked at the highlights to see if we'd had a few chances I'd missed but it didn't show anything.

That was the header, there wasnt anything else. The cross was slightly behind him so he couldn't get as much power on it as he'd have liked.

Ah right, definitely not a gilt edged chance then. If have been very surprised if he'd have scored from there as there wasn't any pace on the cross and was slightly behind him as you say.

Disagree we do not represent the 17,000 who attend home games most weeks, they /we go down to support Bradford City our team, yes we get annoyed when we don't get the results we believe we should but its not a new situation we have suddenly found ourselves in.
I don't have a problem with fans having a different opinion but some comments are OTT in my opinion this for one "Totally concur some peoples perspective on here I finding worrying. Any old shit they lap up, blind support in my opinion is dangerous" don't you just love it when its the fans fault maybe the likes of me, @Park bantam@Park bantam , @Kevin1954@Kevin1954, @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler, @The Original EB@The Original EB and many more to blame for putting up with it for so long hence my reply.

We are Bradford City a club who's history has seen the majority of our time in the bottom two divisions, you alway hope this season is Bradford City's season, and when we do get a bit of success its so much more enjoyable.
I took my grandson the first season Stuart came back he was seven years old at the time, I didn't know what sort of reaction I'd get but he stuck with it and is now Bradford City mad, he has his moments as we all do having a go, he actually said I'm finished with away days after the Morecambe debacle, my phone goes yesterday and up pops a picture from the terracing at Mansfield yes he went without asking me, once you have Claret & Amber in your blood it's not like Covid there are no injections for getting immunity against getting the Bradford City bug ;).

The press, or lack of it, is the one thing I can’t accept. The same is how we allow it to happen against us in the absence of been too predictable with our slow transition out from the back. Yesterday was prime example where in the first half our only solution seemed to be that lofted ball to Halliday who wasn’t even half way. Mansfield quickly figured it out and we had no answer to it, so carried on the same.

Ironically I’d say our best player leading the press is Gillead and I’d say right now, we are missing his influence.

That's about right Mr Tart . Mid 70's when i first walked through the turnstiles at VP , other than the stadium not much has changed , we are ,where we were with a handful of highlight in those 4 decades

I don't think I've see a post stating otherwise mate we watched the game saying it was flat is a bit of a complement, nether team created much but that often happens.
As I posted I bet Clough is the most disappointed of the two managers, being at home with some recent good results to back your recent form up he will believe its two points dropped.
Just on a side note thinking about it should we be so disappointed that we haven't produced little in way of an attacking force (take away the Bury game), I can only comment on what I saw pre-season but even in those games Cook was an also ran, little service and even fewer goals, I don't like what I'm seeing at the moment but let's get past the first 6 games before we start making judgements to the season, but hay what would we do without being able to express our opinions after watching games.

So you'd be more than happy to take a BBU bet that Cook won't be our leading goal scorer AGAIN this season would you, you should be more than happy for me to donate £10 if you believe what you post ?.

Well said! History shows that sadly promotions for this club dont happen often. I've been going since 74, and have enjoyed just 6 promotion seasons in that time-and that includes 2 at Wembley when we've sneaked into the last play off place! It's actually quite depressing when you think about it, but as you say we always live in hope every season, and it means the rare successes are all the more enjoyable for it.

    Here’s the chain of events.
Parkinson gets sacked at Wrexham and replaced by Hughes.
Orient sack Wellens and he comes here

Oh I know I read most of your posts, I may not agree but you always give reasons with regards your comments which is the whole point of the forum, this isn't to you but I've not seen many we were shit FACT posts for a while, really no answer to those.
