Like @Chris Withe@Chris Withe posted earlier, thought it was Eccleshill/Undercliffe area he lived. I seem to recall he spent some time drinking in the Malt Kiln in Undercliffe.

Maybe age has blurred my memory?

Or the Malt Kiln, our Saturday night haunt in the 90’s.

It was a regular haunt of mine in the late 70s and early 80s

I lived near the Malt Kiln (1966 to 1971 and on and off a bit after as well) learnt all my dart skills in the taproom there. Can't remember the landladies name but she didn't take any prisoners. Used to go in from 1969 (when I was 16) onwards.

Sorry don’t remember Storck. It’s like having that glazed Tetley’s feeling late on a Saturday night!
Usually ended up with F&C from Bolton Fisheries…..

I was usually a Peel Park fish shop man myself but remember the little bloke who owned the Bolton Junction one and wiggled his ears at customers! Or was that just the Tetleys from the Swing blurring my memory

I preferred the little single story hut on Dudley Hill Rd , just round the corner from the library. Fab F&C but it was a distance from the Kiln when one has had a few…eeek!
