Hopefully, us westbounders won't get caught up in any jams caused by confused eastbounders.

Only closed between 27 and 26 so won’t affect 606 traffic going West

Ha ha…. When I lived in Allerton I could be home from the match in 15 minutes on a good day. It’s a 45 mile round trip back to WF3 these days.

Just taken nearly three hours from Scarborough just traffic. But the next two Saturdays the A64 is closed means a big diversion. What you do for love

The whole of Bradford is a mess at the moment. I’m absolutely sick of sitting in traffic every morning and evening.

Totally agree. It is absolutely abysmal and it really does not surprise me in the slightest given our woefully inept council

Took absolutely ages getting to and from the match. Game day experiences haven't been the best this season, add this ongoing palava to the mix and people will simply stop going

It is sickening that you think you are avoiding one set of roadworks by going a different way, then straight into some others, then avoid them ones and same again. I really detest our council and the decision makers

A labour council. Imagine them running the whole country? Careful what you wish / vote for.

Absolutely agree. And even more baffling is how the council & Hinchcliffe as the "leader" have remained in control for so many years, despite their numerous vanity projects over the years and generally running the town centre into the ground

    Mind blowing

I used to remember seeing Hinchcliffe and Ross Shaw walking round Wrose when my mum and dad were alive, knocking on doors as local councillors. Mad to think they hold the keys to development in this city, I wouldn't ask them to run me a bath never mind huge regeneration projects.

The Council doesn’t fund highways. What has it to do with them?
If we are going to slag them off Steve let’s get it right. The DfT and the Gov have massively cut back on anything because as a nation we are pretty much broke. Look at the borrowing figures.! We don’t make anything anymore , let alone able to export what we do make.

“DfT is responsible for providing local authorities with up-to-date policy, guidance and funding, via grants”.

Who’s responsible for it taking me an hour to get to Saltaire from Rooley Lane as I want to call them an arsehole?

Surely it is down to the council planning committee (or whatever they choose to call themselves) to grant the highways/contractors a permit for the work?? My major beef is not work being done, but more whichever clown thinks it is a great idea to have lots of roads dug up in one area simultaneously

Very true, but the problem is we have a Govt now who are about as "stale" as any government I can remember in my life, and we need a change. Five more years of smarmy, never answer a question, no idea of the real world Sunak just isn't going to get this country anywhere. I really fear what the next Govt will do to this country, whatever colour is elected.

Labour buggered up when they didn't elect David Milliband as leader and tories did the same when they didn't turn to an old head like David Davies. Sunak makes my skin crawl, Starmer reminds me of the hologram on Red Dwarf, and Ed Davy is like a caricature of a 1970's sitcom persona.

From Rooley Lane, would Killinghall Rd-Undercliffe-5 Lane Ends-Thackley-Shipley be a quicker route for you, or is it just much-of-a-muchness type of thing?
